You can now download demos of all the cuts for the Now 97.9 and K104.7 versions. There’s a nice sung intro at the beginning of both demos, with an acapella reprise at the end.

They’ve sent out an email to their mailing list about this package too. Good to see they’re putting a lot of effort into promoting it.

The sung intro jingle auto plays when the “New and Now” web page opens up. Better still though, if you check in your temporary internet files, you will find the jingle as a WAV file called “jamnan.wav”!

Despite having “played” with Windows versions for over 20 years, I can’t get that wav file to “appear” in my temporary internet files area using Windows 7!
This old dog requires a “refresher” on how to do that Mark!

I noticed that three new cuts (numbered 16-18) have been added to the New & Now demo, sung for all three of the currently used logos. (Sunny 95 was removed a while back.) Not sure how long these have been kicking around, but I actually first heard them yesterday on KEZN in Palm Springs, California, which has just rebranded as “Sunny 103” and returned to JAM with some cuts I recognized from N&N, plus three others that I was unfamiliar with. Sure enough, upon checking the N&N demo, those three cuts were there. They do make a nice addition to the package.

On the American Fan cut by cut wasn’t the Mike Song originally included?

No, I don’t believe that was ever on the demo. Would have made sense though. Actually, it seems that there are a lot of JAM WFAN cuts that have never appeared on a demo, judging by the gap in the reference numbers between NY Fan and American Fan.
