I was listening to an online stream of Sunny 99.1(KODA) from Houston, TX and noticed that they ditched their softer jingle package from Groove Addicts in favor of a new customized package possibily from TM Century. As I listen to the new jingles used on the station, I was mad because the jingles are too loud and does not belong to a heritage soft AC station! Someday I may move to the San Diego area, but fearing that the city’s AC station KYXY 96.5 could follow suit.
I totally hate the new TM Century jingles! It does not even belong to their “love song” dedication show! I hope the PD there immediately drop their new jingles and go for either a Reelworld package(which I like), or a JAM package created for either L.A’s KOST or Miami’s “Lite FM”. I just can’t stand listening to the station anymore. It totally sounds like a hot AC or an Oldies station using their new jingle package.
Is there a AC station that DOES NOT have loud, obnoxious jingles, even during their love songs hour?

Seems kind of melodramatic if jingles can put you off from moving to another area 😯 what are about “fearing” the differences in the cost of living, housing standards, educational provision, health care, tax, leisure activities, who your neighbours are gonna be, whether a hurricane could hit town……..oooooops, you were taking the pi## in the first place about “fearing” and “hating” TM Century jingles, right ?

And I agree, the jingles don’t seem to fit into the more subdued music on Sunny. It would have been better off with one of the WTPI or KVIL packages.
