For years, New Jersey 101.5 (WKXW Trenton) has been using resings of classic WABC jingles by JAM and PAMS, along with voiceovers by John Driscoll. However, it seems like their new owners (Townsquare) are tinkering with the station's imaging. They have a new station voice, a new top-of-the-hour sequence and news sounder. And while they're still using some of the old WABC resings, today I noticed a new jingle coming out of traffic reports that is markedly different. It sounds like something you'd expect to hear on a sports station, with guitars and male vocals. Could anyone ID this cut? It sounds like it could be TM or Tony Griffin, but I'm not sure.

It really feels like the end of an era with the station changing its imaging, but the new jingle does sound good and I'm glad they at least went with a Dallas company. I guess the station had to update its sound eventually. But I do hope they keep the JAM jingles on weekends, as those still work perfectly with the classic hits they play.
