The Biggest load of Poo Poo I’ve heard in a long while… :s
Can they get sued under the Trades Description Act for calling them “Jingles” :/

        Interesting!
Ok, not sung but jingles all the same.
        Just one problem with them….
Our wee grandson loves watching the “Hey Duggee!” Children’s cartoons on iplayer…and the “UK male VO” on these sounds just like the cartoons!

Well not jingles at all , a complete mess chosen by someone who has not got a clue how to image a station
Would have been better to go to TM Studios and got one of the TM Next country packages

I mean it’s not like TM / Reelworld / JAM don’t do many different jingle packages for Country stations from classic to up to date!!!!

May I add that the hey duggee cartoon music actually IS a banjo type C&W piece!

Maybe they should have asked Chris Steven’s
He knows all about country jingles

I think they’re fine for what they are, not “jingles” per se, just station imaging with background music. Wisebuddah just delivered what the client wanted, TM would have done something similar if asked.

If that’s all you wanted plenty of production library’s would have done the job

I don’t get the Sonic Logo bit unless I have missed something ?

Think the “Sonic logo” is now generic across their Absolute stations (which I never listen to anyway…)

Some stations use them well (thinking the local station here, who I won’t name again for certain reasons !!!),
                      others really don’t “get it”!

                      “branding”.
                      Ugh

If you was listening to 80’s Rock or 40’s Hits
It’s is unlikely you would be going from one station to the next as they are all targeted certain groups so still don’t get why in this case the sonic branding matters

Is it because at Wisebuddah they don’t have Nashville DNA?

I like the packages TM put out the last few years, like their classic country package for WSM:

Or their more modern country work for KUBL Salt Lake City:

It’s a fair point and I get it – Companies produce what the client wants. “just station imaging with background music” is about the most that can be said. I just think for a country station it’s very limp.

…they don’t make C&W station jingles like THIS any more! (Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing….) :)

Er..a strange cut-and-paste there Pete – you’ve got me “quoted” for words I didn’t type!

Historically though, P-T did do a “better” C&W jingle sound for its time in the mid/late ’60s
                                  – maybe them being nearer to Nashville physically gave the influence and the musicians/singers/etc.

I’ve some very early ’70s PAMS reels direct from stations back then, and their sound was more “Country” without
the “cowboy imagery” as the term “Western” steadily got dropped from the format and “modern country” came in.

Country only works for me if it is full blown ‘Nashville’ – the whole pretence is that you are somehow transported to the central south US and so you might as well go full country for your imaging…. the Wise Buddah set is mis-guided at best.
