103.1 WNDH in Defiance, OH and Cool 102 in Cape Cod are using this, too.
January 8, 2022 at 3:14 pm #106969firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorOldies 93.5 are using this too, they stopped using JAM.
January 8, 2022 at 3:34 pm #106970firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorand also 98.3 TRY in Albany.
January 8, 2022 at 8:00 pm #106974Jeffrey T. MasonMemberMost of the stations mentioned and sampled on this page (minus KODJ) are iHeart “Big Classic Hits” affiliates. Same playlists and (mainly the same) jocks. So it makes sense to have the same jingles across the board. I’m a lifelong JAM fan, but I think this new package sounds pretty good. And I’m not just saying that because I am ON all of these stations. LOL

As radio evolves, so does its jingles.
January 8, 2022 at 11:39 pm #106978firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorI’m still checking for more.

https://soundcloud.com/lawrence-simmons-d/wcib-cape-cod-ma-cool-102-unknown-reelworld-packageThings do be pouring out for iHeart and Reelworld.
January 20, 2022 at 2:47 pm #107061mjb1124MemberFound two more stations using this: Big 95 KBGO in Waco TX, and WBVB (B97) in Huntington WV.
So far, WSRZ seems to be the biggest station (by market size) using this package.
January 20, 2022 at 4:14 pm #107062firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorWGMZ Z93.1 in Gadsden, AL and Leo 1360 KMJM in Cedar Rapids, IA is also using it, too.
January 20, 2022 at 6:44 pm #107063mjb1124MemberInterestingly, there’s one recently launched small-market iHeart Oldies station that’s not using this package or anything else from Reelworld. WZRX-FM “The Big Buck” in Lima, Ohio has a JAM composite.

January 22, 2022 at 10:23 pm #107067firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorB101 is not using this. I heard them use the WCBS FM 2018 package. 98.3 TRY, yes. They did use the iHeart Classic Hits package (which is what we call the unknown RW package).
January 23, 2022 at 1:05 pm #107068TigerQ105MemberLeo 1360 and Big 95 are using this mysterious package, too.

https://soundcloud.com/lawrence-simmons-d/kbgo-waco-tx-big-95-unknown-reelworld-packageLeo surprisingly uses both the branding and the callsign on this one.
January 23, 2022 at 2:27 pm #107069mbMemberI like a lot of Reelworld work and some of thier packages are top notch. It’s all down to what the market wants. I find it a bit functional but thats clearly what it is desgned for a variety of stations with easy modifications and rolled out to a lot of markets. It’s OK – It’s not a reelworld classic like windy100 or B94. I love a big statement full on Reelworld package – I dont fell this is one of them.

April 8, 2022 at 12:57 am #107463TigerQ105MemberSeems like this whole thing has not been complete without this one.
So, I was thinking, this could be the TOH theme for the mystery package?
April 8, 2022 at 1:13 am #107464firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorIs it possible to ask RW or no?
April 10, 2022 at 1:07 pm #107474TigerQ105MemberWQOL dropped the K-Hits package for this new package. I’m expecting it to drop between either by Spring or Summer of this year. Or probably not at all.
July 10, 2022 at 3:34 pm #107776firetypecinderaceMemberAuthorThere are iHeart stations now using this package – 96.1 The Fox (KQHT-FM Grand Forks, was using the WCBS FM package few months ago), 99.9 KGOR Omaha (stopped using the Wisebuddah Boom 973 package) and Oldies 107.9 Vero Beach, FL.

Every station or channel that uses the package is owned by iHeart, so my bet is that the package was a specially contracted project through “iHeart corporate” for their dozens (perhaps hundreds) of oldies stations. Instead of market exclusivity, they’re getting company exclusivity; only iHeart stations can play it or order it. That’s all my own theory/guess. If I’m right, one could say ReelWorld hit the jackpot by getting a huge project like this for the biggest radio company in the country.
The fact this package is generically spread across so many of iHeart’s stations just proves how corporate radio has become. I would not be surprised if iHeart tries to buy ReelWorld at some point, just as Cumulus did with TM. It’s all become such an icy-cold corporate game… but thank God JAM is still around providing (in my opinion) MUCH better jingles than both of them and putting human heart and soul into the production.

Seems like a good theory. I think iHeart themselves had inked a deal with RW to make an exclusive package for their oldies/classic hits station, especially those stations who’ve signed up to a very “Orwellian-named” Premium Choice network. Mainly the “Cool Oldies” and “Big Classic Hits” ones.
Also, regarding the part where you said that iHeart tried to buy RW, I think their division, Premiere Networks has inked a deal with Reelworld US (not Europe) as their imaging partner in the US all the way back 15 years ago.
And regarding the custom package that RW did for iHeart, I’m not sure they will be released anytime soon. Maybe until something miraculous will happen one day. But that one day might be someday.
