Jingle News are reporting on a brand new radio jingle company that launched this week called “Spine Jingles” – http://www.spinejingles.com
They are very modern sounding. What do you all think of their jingles?
October 8, 2015 at 12:24 pm #98601radio_blokeMemberNothing new as far as I could hear, just your ISO standard non JAM jingle.
Very suitable for some markets which are already covered by other companies offering the same product.
Maybe a price war and a race to the bottom?October 8, 2015 at 1:20 pm #98602UKJinglesMemberOne consulation at least (for a change) They are “Jingles”
I get so pi**ed off” when new companies appear and advertise their “Fabulous new Jingles” when in fact they are really just Music Beds with Voiceovers!!
Don’t the newer generations understand the definition of the word “Jingle”
I had a newsfeed appear on my Facebook yesterday I can’t remember the name of the guy but he must be something to do with Mcasso..
Bragging about the great new “Jingles” they had just produced for BBC Local Radio…A couple of comments agreeing how good they were so I had to give my pennyworth and I wasn’t rude at all..Just explaining that they really can’t be called “Jingles” and they are not memorable and it’s a pity that all BBC Local radio imaging sounds so bland and the same nowadays!
My comment seems to of been removed obviously didn’t want to hear the harsh truth…LOL
Oh and sorry for side tracking another topic again!October 8, 2015 at 3:34 pm #98603LenGroatI heard these ‘Spine jingles’ and they are at least SUNG jingles, and I think better and more melodic than the same style from the other companies who do ‘screechy vocals with an UP end note’. A little competition is good!
Pete: I’m not surprised Mccasso erased your comments – like the BBC ‘suits’ they are clearly above criticism.
I think the BBC journos must have a lot in common with the people behind these ‘idents’ as the Mcasso website talks about “our annual ping pong fix at their latest tournament. We aimed to inspire whiff-waff greatness by providing all the music, and with the necessary sweatbands/headbands/wigs(!) on – we had a great night”
Perfect for BBC Local Radio types…..
I’d be less annoyed if the BBC EARNED the money it wastes on these but they are spending licence payers money!
October 8, 2015 at 6:55 pm #98604glenI think I will stick with Jam and TM.

I see that these are the same people behind the Pure Jingles package for WKTU, which I also had similar thoughts about. KTU itself also has a stronger jingle presence than most US contemporary stations these days, including jingle-based “power intros” and even jock ID cuts (which are rare nowadays outside of morning drive on current-based music stations).
