Hello everyone. For lots of reasons, I haven’t been on very much the last wee while. But have paid a few visits again in the last couple of weeks. Once again thanks to Iain Johnston for responding to my post a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, I am making full use of my collection of Jam/ Pams cuts on my Saturday morning Online show, The Nostalgia Show, hear on Johnstone Sound. 10am till midday on johnstonesound.com Ok enough of the self promotion, I am now getting excited as I am looking at another personal cut now that Jon is back up and running again. It might take a while to chose one as there are just a few choices out there…:-) Suggestions welcome of course, but off I go into those demos. This might take a wee while……

Ron…I’m guessing Jon is very busy with “Catch-up” now….
As I sent an enquiry about purchasing a new cut for my re-vamped Web Site but haven’t heard anything back for nearly two weeks now….. 😉

Ron, I must admit I’m itching for another cut or two after a hiatus of over 3 years, but I’d like at least
something “interesting” from a say a PAMS non-series non-Top40 package perhaps.

But as I’ve grumbled a wee bit (!) before, Jon doesn’t make it clear what PAMS material outside
of the numbered series might be readily-available as digital tracks rather than him having to go
to unreasonable expense to master something up just for one cut for a Personal Cut price.
And I don’t have a problem with that. But a hint or two would be most helpful!

I know a certain classic TM item I looked at several years ago was “bounced” for that kind of reason.

Some classic PAMS such as the various WWDC-commissioned MOR stuff of the Stereo Island era
(e.g. Some Kind of Radio), or the big KIIS-1150-AM packages would interest me.
Even similarly say the WKNR Detroit inspired “Motor City Music” / Grabber cuts are crackers.
Or KRLD or KULF (c.f. BBC Radio Two 1972).

There’s far more to non-Series PAMS than just “The Smart Set”!
          ;^)

You’re making this too complicated. Just tell us what you’d like and if there’s a problem with it, or we can’t find it, we’ll let you know. Very rarely is there a problem.

                      >unreasonable expense to master something up just for one cut for a Personal Cut price.

We do it all the time. What would be unreasonable is to remix/remaster thousands of cuts in advance, on the off chance that someone will order one of them. We go back to the masters (most of which have been digitized in their multitrack form, but not necessarily cleaned up and mixed down yet) on an as-needed basis. And if you happen to order a cut that we’ve already dealt with, so much the better. But all of that is our problem, not yours.

Very much appreciate the clarification on that Jon, thank you!
