Its hard to to go wrong with JAM.
April 16, 2011 at 6:30 pm #78602Bryan SimmonsThanks for posting one of my jingles David! Ahh memories…
April 18, 2011 at 3:44 am #78616mjb1124MemberI've been listening to “Love Songs on the Coast” the last two nights and have not heard any new cuts – only a very limited number of older ones. I guess they didn't make it into the weekend rotation yet?
But no matter, we've been reassured that the new package will debut very soon (thanks Bryan!), and I'm sure it will be well worth the wait. I'm really excited to hear what JAM has done to revitalize the KOST sound.
April 18, 2011 at 7:09 pm #78620mjb1124MemberThe new cuts are starting to air… just heard the TOH. It's definitely a departure from the traditional KOST sound, very upbeat and guitar driven, but still distinctly JAM. So far, so good.

April 18, 2011 at 8:57 pm #78624MarcMannetjeThanks for posting those! They are a bit unKOST but fresh and modern… More guitars, less brass and strings, but that's only after a quick scan.
April 18, 2011 at 9:24 pm #78625ratnobMemberCertainly not the KOST sound we're used to, but nice clear vocals and a distinctive logo …
April 18, 2011 at 10:52 pm #78627mbMemberThanks for the capture, I'm not sure the songs that followed or preceeded helped do the jingles justice! But I think if you look at the evolution of coats from the coast 103 jingles through to recent years the pace has picked up and I think more guitar less brass is more reflective of the time. Really looking forward to hearing them.

I've got to say that I absolutely love these jingles. They sound great.
April 19, 2011 at 3:22 pm #78634mjb1124MemberHere's a bunch more. These jingles are really growing on me – there's a nice variety of tempos and textures, and they work very well between the songs.
Again, overall it's a more upbeat sound with more guitars and less brass/strings, but there's some mellower cuts as well. The Love Songs cuts (I included the TOH here) sound more in line with what JAM has done in the past for KOST, but still tastefully updated.
April 19, 2011 at 4:18 pm #78635mumossThanks for posting those, Mike. Predictably, I love them.
I just hope JAM comes up with a demo quickly…
April 19, 2011 at 4:49 pm #78636BarrasI`m like John Hoare here, being completely predictable…I LOVE THEM !
Congrats to JAM & KOST
Cheers for posting the audio Mike.
April 19, 2011 at 5:57 pm #78638mbMemberIs it me or are those modern, bright, and above all scream KOST with class. Bryan happy to say someone at KOST towers made a very very good decision.
April 19, 2011 at 6:25 pm #78639tyty21wow! so… i'm hearing it, and gotta say, jam has done it again! i'll definitely listen again! (calls other friend in so cal)
April 19, 2011 at 6:43 pm #78640ratnobMemberI think the second set sound better because of the way they are being used – great mix with the music, more appropriate blends of hard/soft endings and songs.
Thanks for posting..
April 19, 2011 at 9:38 pm #78641GrahamCollinsVery nice – JAM have literally ramped it up a notch but still kept those oh so clever harmonies. Evolution not revolution. Good to hear Bryan using them well.
Hope Jon doesn't wait too long before putting this package in the featured zone on the website.
April 20, 2011 at 2:16 am #78649dianablanton1984MemberCompletely different from what we were used to while hearing past KOST packages, but still sounding GREAT!
April 20, 2011 at 5:11 pm #78661GlennaMemberIts hard to go wrong when you have a GREAT jingle company!!!!!

April 28, 2011 at 1:10 pm #78705simon_t123MemberSooooo good are these KOST jingles from JAM, they are very different indeed, some top sung cascading cuts in there right into the music, the TOH sing ends almost abruptly but it's good, it's a new style, it's different for KOST and it is most certainly an example of JAM evolving their sound whilst staying true to what they are best known for … The love songs stager posted on JM has a tinge of 'retro' JAM about it, but that's no bad thing, all in all these are grrrrrreat ID's from the original #1 choice for jingles bland75
MemberI'm currently in LA at the moment and have really enjoyed listening to JAM back on KOST over the past week (as well as Bryan doing the afternoon show). The jingles are a great update for the station (as mentioned before, more guitar, less orchestrated sound and perhaps, the use of a 5 voice group rather than 7 ?)
It sounds good on the air driving around in the sunshine – well done JAM & KOST ! 945KBAYguy
FANTASTIC! For about 10 years i've been wanting to hear something this good on KOST Great job JAM
