Grooveworx updated their website. And this is the most interesting: a lot of heritage packages can be found ‘in the clear’ at this heritage page
https://grooveworx.com/radio/historical-radio-packages/
Enjoy!
April 17, 2016 at 8:52 pm #99878IainJohnstonWell spotted Marc!
OK – cut-by-cut and not easy to “bag” cuts quickly. Sound quality seems good though. And “free”.
However, UK JMers will find a LOT of Radio 2 – and definately things/versions that I certainly don’t recall having “made it to air” ?
BRMB Birmingham fans might have a chuckle at the “LESS Ross” cut – as opposed to there never having been a “More” Ross :^)
Now all we need is *any other jingle producers* to do a similar sort of thing….(?!?)
April 17, 2016 at 9:21 pm #99879rakMemberThanks for the heads up – loving the Invicta package (even though I already had a good copy!) https://grooveworx.com/invicta-fm/
April 17, 2016 at 9:25 pm #99880mbMemberGreat site – Groove jingles are top quality and classy big and bold
The top section of the Radio 2 jingles are from the demo which they did not move forward with because of the new BBC worldwide terms- so none of them made it to airApril 17, 2016 at 9:51 pm #99881IainJohnstonYes, the abandoned “pitch” efforts – (can you imagine some of those “Ken Bruce” cuts on HIS show? Nope!!!)
Some of the 1997 R2 seem “un-heard” too – lots of “ramps” and stuff – and possibly the travel cut?
Generally though, an interesting wide-ranging selection of European and USA/Canada things to have a pleasant wander through.
April 17, 2016 at 10:03 pm #99882RobinBlamiresDefinitely the travel cut. The demo of the package also had an unused news intro with a fair bit of synth percussion.

How exactly can you bag them ? – invicta’s would be nice to obtain !

April 19, 2016 at 3:47 pm #99908upsweepMemberGot those Invicta – how did you generate those urls – i have tried on R2 cuts to no success
April 19, 2016 at 4:49 pm #99909jonnoMemberI viewed the web page source (and found all the urls for the mp3 files buried in the html code). Right click on the page and select view source. Then look for and urls that look like links to files. They’ll start http: and end mp3 there may be some ‘spurious’ back slashes which you’ll need to take out.
Have a go if you feel brave. If I find the time I’ll have a go too.

I did – and that was quite “challenging” to visibly read them in that welter of strung-together coding text!
(Bring back “structured programming”!)Thanks for all that effort to extract them Jonno :^)

April 20, 2016 at 5:41 pm #99921upsweepMemberThanks for sharing Jonno, i managed to most of the cuts i wanted, but bound to have missed some going through the masses of text………
yes i agree with Iain, quite a challange – what happened to the old days – when you played a file it went into your internet history, you just went and moved itApril 20, 2016 at 9:41 pm #99922rakMemberGood work, Jonno, but let’s hope that posting those links to the files doesn’t put Grooveworx off from posting more gems from their back catalogue.
April 22, 2016 at 7:56 pm #99933m_hodgeyMemberInteresting, although many of these files such as the Radio 2 and Capital FM packages aren’t new and were on the site before. In fact, some the Radio 2 cuts have been removed.

Agreed – most of the cuts on offer i have lifted many years ago for R2, Capital, XtraAM etc etc, from the older Groove Sites would have been nice to find additional cuts from those packages. As these jingles are now not relevant or played to the associated stations, I don’t understand why just would not want to showcase the complete package and alternates
– however the Invicta was a nice welcome surprise
April 23, 2016 at 12:43 pm #99938rakMemberIt’s all explained on the website…
“GrooveWorx began as Groove Addicts back in 1996. Al Capps and Dain Blair first began crafting radio IDs as far back as 1985 when they were both at HLC Killer Music. After breaking off from Killer Music in 1992 they launched “Who Did That Music” which then led to Groove Addicts. During those many years they have created signature radio jingles for some of the biggest and most notable radio stations throughout the world. Due to so many request, we decided to post some of those older packages on our new Historical Radio Packages page. Keep in mind that we can’t post every ID for every package as there were just too many sub-mixes for each radio jingle. We’ve posted the basic “full mix” of each ID from each respective package. Enjoy!”
