If I were guessing, the structure of the package is designed to fit different music formats. So, if you're coming off a break into a rock song, you can play the rocky jingle. If you're coming out of the break with a song that has a slow start, you've got the love/acoustic guitar jingle. It's so you can match the right jingle to the right genre. Makes for some great segues.

Oh, and you'll be pleased to know that I'm hearing standalone jingles being used between songs too.

Noticed that re-sings for Chiltern Radio, Fox FM, Radio Broadland and Southern FM have now been added to teh Music4 website.

Interstingly, the mixes for the latter three of the above don't seem to contain a strapline at all. I wonder if this is deliberate, or just Music4 presenting alternate mixes?

Still puzzling about the Essex FM alternative strap, they've not used them on air yet. I wonder if the new imaging accompanies the new logos, some stations quick to adopt the logos, SGR Colchester has but SGR FM / Essex FM have not … Waiting game for now lol. Anyone managed to hear if the stations mentioned by Martin S are using the cuts on air as they are presented ?

Nice to hear sung jingles.. I worked for a large manchester station that had a sister station in london about 15 years ago and the pc said they only had £500 to spend on jingles per year … so we got dry sweepers

and the station sounded crap with them… as you may have worked out .. the stations got sold
