Hey!
Check out the Jam web site – http://www.jingles.com. They’ve added three new demos.
So what do we all think? Are Jam still doing the business?
May 26, 2003 at 10:34 am #23281MadI notice Sean Caldwell on the uptown demo
May 26, 2003 at 7:05 pm #23282DavidHemsleyI had a couple of listens but I couldn’t really get into them.
2/10 maybe. 😯
May 26, 2003 at 8:39 pm #23283TommySorry.. They didn’t seem to grab my attention either..
The Ticket’s package was my favorite of the three.. Nice logo that will get stuck in your head easily..
KVIL’s jingles sound like all the others.. I’m sure only a handful of people in Dallas will even notice the change. And there’s no top of hour legal (KVIL.. Dallas.. Fort Worth!)
Oldies 95.. I didn’t even finish listening to the whole demo.
FYI.. You can’t get to the demos if you type “jingles.com”… You gotta have the w’s..

May 26, 2003 at 10:09 pm #23284JonnyhIt pains me to say that I kind of agree about the KVIL cuts. They sound very similar to the previous ones Jam has produced for them. They’re nice though – just no surprises.
The Ticket is very good. A bit Rocky for my tastes but then I’m not really a Sports Radio type of person.
However, I don’t agree about the Oldies demo. I think it’s superb. The instrumentals sound fresh and yet immediately create the right kind of image. The vocals sound clean and smooth. Very nice package.
Well done Jam!
June 3, 2003 at 9:53 am #23295Forum_GuideTop news story on this site at the moment – 75 demos to download on the Jam website.
Well, someone certainly has been busy uploading all the demos and lyric sheets.
Now, with the help of reget.com, and a couple of hours wait, I now have them all on my hard drive
Well done Jam
June 3, 2003 at 6:25 pm #23296MartinSThere’s also quite a few downloadable classic JAM demos on the Top Format site too, http://www.topformat.nl/index1.html some of which aren’t on the JAM site itself, e.g. Hyperlink (one of my faves).
Happy downloading fellow anoraks!
MartinJune 4, 2003 at 3:28 pm #23297bigdave1Just listened to the oldies package and thought it reminiscent of the Kool 105 cuts they did back in the 80’s and 90’s …
Not that is a bad thing ….
June 4, 2003 at 9:43 pm #23298mbMemberTheres also a new version / demo of after burner for WSM.
I agree platinum groove follows the Kool theme but then again if a station has been using those packages and wants an update – plus wherever i seem to go in the US there are resing of the Kool packages playin on some station or other. Therefore in terms of a sellable syndication package i can see it being very popular. So what if bobbins FM in anytownshire have just had a new sweeper package and not chose JAM jingles a good syndication throughout the USA is worth far more to JAM.
I really liked one up for KVIL but it seems for the new package they wanted short and plain. Although i do think that next to Hit Power and Turbo Z they should put up the Beacon radio versions. Beacon radio had better lyrics on their version.
The last ticket package was from TM and quite hard sounding.
Really nice has some fantastic solo’s, there is still something about a JAM package that makes it special, you listen for the depth, the effects, the little things added in to give it zing. So many companies produce plinky plonky tracks with average vocals that I still think JAM gives you more.
