UKJingles
MemberExcellent montage Mr James!
Makes you want to listen to Radio 2 for a while…maybe 😆
Now if Mr Moyles came to you instead for “wacky” jingles instead of those
rather stale poor imitations, it might be even worth listening to Radio One again!
Thanks AJMarch 25, 2006 at 10:40 pm #20102gameswizard
Memberi like the new steve wright jingles.
i’ve never been a fan of ‘sweepers’ (whoever produces them)-sweepers should be swept away into the trash can.
but when are you gonna put a montage of the steve wright radio one 80’s jingles online?

As soon as I get settled back to Europe. Promise. I know what you mean about sweepers, there are certain one’s i like and very few producers do them well and take them far too seriously. Andrew White and guys like Dan Birchmore (ex-Capital London) do some of the best.
Thanks for the positive comments though.

MemberJust Superb
In a world that is over the last few years has been devoid of any personality
its great to hear a great package of jingles that are not just 10 -15 cuts with just the same Frequency and Call letters sung over and over again with little or no variation between each jingle
Great to hear proper instrumentation in the jingles as well
Well Done AJ for producing something that has been “Master Crafted” and not Just thrown together like many of the current packages
(next time you are in London take a listern to Capital radio to hear what I am talking about)
Best Regards
Martin

Just to let you know that I’ve just put a montage of the new idents we’ve just finished producing for Steve Wright.
…….why not do nearly everything live, strings, horns, wind and Rhythm. This would also include his theme motif done in several ways….All the backing tracks and vocals were recorded here in New York using some of the best muso’s around. There is also a gallery featruing pictures from some of these sessions, plus older archive photos.
Enjoy them.
AJ.
I guess that was a lot of NYC Starbucks coffee those woodwind and brass musicians guzzled !
and can I nick Martin Lester`s descriptive word and say the jingles are “superb” ❗

Memberany chance of getting radio 2 to use a full station AJ package in the future
I think they would work well with Wogan and Chris Evans
Like the jingles very much…are you using the same voices as on steves other classic packages….

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. There are other mixes and versions not on the montage including the usual out takes which I will update the file with. I’ll let you know when that’s done.
I also mentioned to David Barras that I will make downloadable versions of the files when I get settled back in Europe.
And a CD?? well just let me kow what you’d like to hear on them.
Thanks again.
