I found these PAMS demos in a huge box of cassettes the other day, plus an item I thought I had lost. My first JAM personal cut which for some reason I had ordered in DAT format. No idea why! Why did surprise me was the date. This was ordered way back in June 1995!!! Would never has put it that far back. Time flies etc.. The cut was from Magic Is The Music Cut 11.
February 27, 2019 at 6:55 am #82870nleiboBut you didn’t post the “cut”…???
February 27, 2019 at 8:27 am #82871GrahamCollinsHi Ron

February 28, 2019 at 3:49 pm #82846DuncanNewmarchMemberI’ve found mine, how do I upload the photo?
February 28, 2019 at 4:13 pm #82847IainJohnstonDuncan, Ron was able to upload his pic with the info we put on JM a wee while back, if you want to give it a try

And nothing wrong with anything from the excellent JAM “Magic” packages…

{Not my first JAM cut, that was Hot KIIS #12, but this one is 5/7 voice group and excellent enunciation!]February 28, 2019 at 4:43 pm #82848gameswizardMemberI’ve found mine, how do I upload the photo?

(Filling the details for the remaining 3 drop-down menu’s is optional).
Click Start Upload.
When upload is complete, click Full Size.
Hightlight then Copy’N’Paste the HTML code into your reply (or clicking Copy button may suffice).February 28, 2019 at 10:31 pm #82710February 28, 2019 at 10:38 pm #82656DuncanNewmarchMemberIt worked! My parents (I’ve just realised how cool my mum and dad are) bought me a jingle for Christmas 1988. Santa didn’t quite get it to me on time.
An Alfasound resing of Warp Factor 14, with Steve England sono. I won’t upload it.
Years later I had the same cut recorded for Lincs FM and then had it sung again (this time by JAM) as a personal cut- which I loveFebruary 28, 2019 at 11:41 pm #82658GrahamCollins17ips ? That’s a first !

Please do (upload). I’d love to hear both.
March 1, 2019 at 5:18 am #82578ratnobMemberWow, this thread reminds me that back in (I’m guessing) 1978-80 or so I bought three Tapetrix (aka Alfasound) Sonotronix jingles. I no longer have the tape boxes or indeed the master tapes. When I rediscovered my jingle collection, I sent them all to the late, great David Barass who converted all the audio to MP3 for me.
March 1, 2019 at 9:55 am #82451IainJohnston“17ips ? That’s a first !”
Spotted that too! (15 IPS is the right answer, for anyone pre-digital-era!)
Maybe it resolves the threads of people wondering if/why some particular version of some cut(s) “sounds faster”
than others !!!“Please do (upload). I’d love to hear both”
Go on Duncan, we’ve all got stuff that has “evolved” between versions!
March 2, 2019 at 2:53 pm #82172DuncanNewmarchMemberYou asked for it… 3 versions of Warp Factor #14. Recorded in 88, 95 and 2015
https://soundcloud.com/duncan-newmarch/for-jinglemad-warp-factor-14-ghr-lincs-fm-and-meMarch 2, 2019 at 3:53 pm #82173IainJohnstonLiked the use of “Alt’ing” with the sung-sono and group vocals on the 2015 version!
Jon did that for me on a couple of mine, and as well as increasing “mix-outs potential”
its really worthwhile paying a wee bit more for to make a “standard” cut sound that bit
different from the run-of-the-mill versions!
:^)March 2, 2019 at 5:12 pm #82135gameswizardMemberSteve England sono.

If that sonovox on the first jingle is Steve England/Alfasound, then it’s actually very impressive indeed. It’s very much hot on the heels of Jon Wolfert’s on the 3rd jingle.
March 2, 2019 at 5:18 pm #82129PKMemberLove your Warp Factor Cut 14 Resings Dunt! I was always surprised more stations over here never had that jingle resung, especially Beacon Radio!
March 2, 2019 at 7:23 pm #82130tonymullinsAwesome! Thanks for sharing!
March 2, 2019 at 8:14 pm #82131UKJinglesMemberYou just can’t beat a bit of “Alt-ing” (Copyright Iain Johnston 2019)
Only JAM can make it sound this good……..March 2, 2019 at 8:19 pm #82132PKMemberUnfortunately Pete that Soundcloud link isn’t working?
March 2, 2019 at 9:00 pm #82087jonnoMemberworks for me
March 2, 2019 at 9:02 pm #82088ratnobMemberLoving all these blasts from the past (the jingles, I mean, not the contributors ????).
Just realised the thread is about first JAM personal cut, not first *any* personal cut.
So, mine was a custom acapella made in 2005:

Hey, I’m always “lovin’ the sono”
March 2, 2019 at 9:44 pm #82064IainJohnstonMy first JAM cut – 2007, Hot KIIS cut #12, with “ALT-ing” sonovox (c) Iain Johnston 2019 (thanks Pete!)
