Looks like new jingles for BBC London going on air on Monday:

That last BBC London 94.9 Breakfast them is one of my favourite instrumental beds of all time.

Not sure about these, this is now the 4th version of the same theme and I do think the last set were the best. It's very similar to LBC's imaging too

I'm AMAZED that at this crucial time the BBC are STILL wasting £££££ on INSTRUMENTAL jingles which do not sell the station with a much more memorable VOCAL melody/ hook.

Also, exactly WHAT do the 4 notes equal ?

I suspect that BBC (Radio) London bosses are smug in the knowledge that even when the regional stations start to share more, or merge programming. they will survive relatively unscathed?

The new breakfast theme is awful. The old version which was very upbeat was much better but then I don't like ~Gaby ( 1 B ) either.
Bit moe tuneful and stylish than the LBC jumble of instruments being thrown down a liftshaft.

I think the new package is fantastic, has far more depth to the rather digital and bland 2008 updates. It is a shame the versions Music4 post on their site fade out because the full versions sound far better. Strings build and really add to the uplifting feel of the themes.

I also find the station play the beds rather quietly, too quietly to hear the music build and add atmosphere to Breakfast and Drive.
