      From today’s Tom Taylor newsletter:

A lot of radio history happened at 13725 Montfort Drive in Dallas, which Westwood is leaving.
It’s where then-ABC Radio Networks head David Kantor once moved a bunch of jobs from New York City, into the facility where John Tyler first turned on the lights of SMN, Satellite Music Network. Dave Scott supposedly scouted out the building, back-when. Now Westwood One’s lease on the space is up mid-year, and given that and the departure of some Radio Disney operations (now at the mother ship in Burbank), Westwood’s preparing to pull up stakes. Programming, production and affiliate sales are all migrating to 2002 Academy Lane, the site of the co-owned TM Studios operation. That’s convenient, near the intersection of I-35 and the LBJ Freeway/I-635. While some of Westwood’s back-office functions like traffic and affiliate services go to a different Cumulus facility, in Arlington. For years, Montfort was the locale for much of ABC Radio Networks, after the decision was made to move many jobs from New York to the less-expensive Dallas market. Sources tell this NOW Newsletter that except for some “duplicated facility support positions,” the exit from Montfort Drive won’t create any staff changes.

Hope this doesn’t mean downsizing at TM – perhaps the discontinuation of iJingles has something to do with this?
