“Monster Radio AM 1150”

      Here are some jingles from a station that was Southern Gospel then went news/talk by day, classic country at night then news/talk by day, classic hits at night and then all news/talk.

      The station got the “Miami’s Oldies WMXJ” package from TM Century when they were “positive & Family Friend, AM 1150” doing southern gospel. They dropped the “Positive & Family Friendly” positioner in the jingles when they went to news/talk/country and news/talk/classic hits.

      They simple used the other mix outs without that part sung in it. They would use a sung legal id “WGGH Marion” at the top of every hour 24 hours a day 7 days a week. THey would use quick stab jingles “WGGH”… “AM 1150″… and WGGH AM 1150” during music hours.

      The station still uses the sung legal id jingle even now as a 24 hour 7 day a week news/talk station

        Great background … great jingles :) that’s quite a mix remits for the station there, different flavours at different times of the day ! Not something we’re used to in the UK in one station, although I guess you could argue that BBC Local Radio is a mix of music & chat by day & all talk when it joins national Radio 5 Live overnight …

          A few of the clips in this montage, I just realized.. are not Miami’s Oldies WMXJ.. but anyone should’ve figured out listening to the clip.

          I kinda liked getting to fire off the sung legal id jingle at the top of hour when I was a producer there.. it was geekishly fun.
