Every year, holiday jingles from JAM are heard on stations everywhere. Some of the nicest ones done recently are for Sirius-XM, who annually feature a number of seasonal channels including “Holiday Traditions” (traditional holiday songs from classic artists) and “Holly” (featuring more contemporary artists doing holiday songs). For those who may not know, Sirius-XM is a satellite broadcaster whose programs can be received anywhere in the US, which makes it the closest thing we have to a national network such as BBC Radio 2. I point this out so that our UK friends can appreciate the irony when hearing several of these jingles which were originally custom cuts made for Radio 2! Here (for no particular reason, other than we like them) is a brief montage:
And on a more personal note, here is a simple but sincere musical greeting to you all:
Both of these items are certainly very traditional, but they are a testament to what can only be done with a studio full of live, talented musicians and singers. It is a joy to make real music, even if it’s only :10 or :60 long. Thanks to all the JAM fans for your support again this year. Have a happy and safe holiday season.
And rest in peace, Mr. Barras.

December 21, 2012 at 10:19 am #87591RobinBlamiresThis is the time of year the stuff from Dallas sounds really superb. Really good uploads!
December 21, 2012 at 10:31 am #87592kolossMemberThis just proves if you wait long enough you don’t have to aircheck these jingles- they just come to you in a neat montage. (Thank you Jon)
I love the Holiday traditions cuts, they fit perfectly; as I have been listening additionally there are a few mix outs of those cuts without the front singover for example, on the ahh full group sing and subtle just jingling bells or just sparkles or both on Abby’s solo cut -or maybe I’m imagining things, but there are variations-
When my friends are in the car they do know to stop talking when a jingle comes on…
December 21, 2012 at 2:08 pm #87596MarcMannetjeThank you Jon and all of my friends at Jinglemad. It is great to have people around online who recognize, appreciate and feel the love that is put into those little songs.
I lit a candle for David yesterday, may he feel the warmth of us all.

December 22, 2012 at 3:47 pm #87604cando24Mr. Jon, Sirius/XM is heard here in Canada as well, so we also can listen to your wonderful Christmas jingles whilst mushing with our dog sled out to buy a quart of egg nog, then mushing back to our igloos to enjoy it.
December 22, 2012 at 6:11 pm #87607IanFMany thanks for those audio treats Jon. May I wish you, Mary-Lyn and all the good folk at JAM a Merry Christmas and have a great new year! No one does Christmas/seasonal jingles like JAM. That’s for sure.
Can I extend my Seasons Greetings also to the admin of Jinglemad and the members who contribute as well. Also, my thoughts to those collectors and people in the jingle industry who have now passed on.
