      This year I’ve produced a handful of short Christmas message videos, which I will be posting to my Facebook timeline over the coming days.

      In addition to this, I thought I’d also share them on here too (since they contain JAM personal cuts), and in doing so, wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2019.

      To start with, it’s time to spread some festive cheer to my JingleMad friends with carollers wishing a Merry Christmas from me to you (or rather the Dallas singers at JAM)! ♫ Ho Ho Ho

              Thank you for all the kind words about the video I posted on Monday.

              My second little festive video hopefully captures the special feeling that the holiday season brings and features my new JAM Personal Cut for Christmas 2018:

                  I think it was a Chinese station – Cross FM, and it was a Christmas cut for them as well.

                        The original first line of lyrics to this Christmas cut were, “There’s a special feeling all across Kyūshū”, this being the most south-western of Japan’s main islands….so Iain gets the point.

                        The cut in question (Ref: Cr/8) was part of an 8-cut JAM custom package for Cross FM:
                        https://soundcloud.com/user-494582921/cross-fm-kyushu-japan-jam-custom-jingles

                        If anyone has a better-quality dub of the above, then I would be very interested to hear from you please.

                        The cut eventually became “Ready Mix!” cut 16, but the lyrics for New York’s Mix 105 were not quite as good as the original ones for Cross FM with the “wants to say Merry Christmas to you” lyric which I wanted to keep.

                        This cut has been on my want list for several years and I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out.

                          I was given a cassette of a Cross FM demo years ago. I can’t remember if it was that package, or another one. I’ll see if I can find it after Xmas, but I imagine it’s so rare only one person will be able to locate a good copy – with the initials jmw.

                          Iain wins the Cross FM location quiz. I think I must have been told they were Chinese at the time.

                            Once again, so matter how much JAM one thinks one has heard – there’s always some more surprises Out There!

                            So where is that Cross FM “There’s a special feeling all across Kyūshū” originally in my head from?
                            Is it possibly the JAM 20 Years Double CDs? (must find where I put them…)

                            [Having been to China, was unlikely to have been a station there, all state owned;
                            I’m sure I heard some Chinese language jingles for a Hong Kong station on a website a few years back though;
                            my approx 10 words of badly accented Pidgin/Mandarin (Nimenhao, XieXie) not enough to work out wording though!]

                              Yes, the Cross FM cut was included in the “20 Years in 20 Minutes” at 17:21.

                              You can also play the individual cut on the Holiday JAM demo page:
                              https://www.jingles.com/jam/radioids/HolidayJam.php?category=2

                              Incidentally, you can hear more Cross FM JAM jingles from 1993-1995 in this off-air jingle montage YouTube video; mostly re-sings of Radio 1 custom cuts from “Closer To the Music”:

                              The resing of “Closer To the Music” cut #18 for Cross FM is also featured in this montage of 1FM resings that John Wolfert kindly posted here back in 2012:

                                For a minute I was hoping JMW had popped back to the Forum after his self-imposed exile.
