Pete,
you`ve picked up on something which as far as I know is unique in the UK, a radio station having ONE jingle sung for them. I know this used to happen quite a lot in the states mainly during the 70s & 80s, when radio stations would have one or several cuts sung for them and that would be classed as a package.
No doubt someone, somewhere will correct me on this following statement ! 😉 but the only station I know of recently that had one cut sung for them was WYGY in 2002. They had one Q-Cut sung for them by JAM.

I sent and email to the PD to find out more most importantly who was behind the cuts and got the following reply:
Thank you for your kind comments on our new station jingles and idents.
I have passed your email on to our Deputy Programme Director for reply as I wasn’t involved in the commissioning of the new jingles. I know he has a full diary today so I can’t promise that he’ll be able to reply to you immediately.
Thanks
Steve
The above email was sent to me on the 9th Sep , Over a month ago so I don’t expect to ever get a reply which is typical of a lot of todays PD’s
