I love this shamelessly brash advert for KEY103
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_Pa9eJHOUw
Relaunch after they realised KEY103 had disappeared up its own backside with Music not music ( sound ideas jingles in the background)

Fancy some cash whilst listening to JAM Jingles:-

Take a Chris Tarrant Advert – lack of creativity – a takeover and bingo an Advert for BRMB

More money:-

I can’t find the lovely animated KEY103 Advert
and if Piccadilly can go on TV:-

There was a reworked version of the above with the standard sound jingles!!
April 18, 2016 at 6:34 pm #99889GrahamCollinsGood thread Michael – I think the first Key 103 ad is the least awful. All studio footage is entirely faked of course.
April 18, 2016 at 6:43 pm #99890mbMemberAuthorYou mean that’s not how BRMB or Capital studios look – although the global ones now look plastic and fake but are Real!
April 18, 2016 at 7:10 pm #99891ratnobMemberI love all of these – a reminder of how radio stations connect with their towns and cities with station names that mean something locally, and personalities … and jingles. Great stuff. Thanks for posting this great slice of nostalgia.
April 18, 2016 at 7:10 pm #99892jonnoMemberhere’s a TV ad filmed in a real studio. Ocean Sound East, West and introducing North..

April 18, 2016 at 7:13 pm #99893jonnoMemberSomething seems wrong with this one.. The VO says ‘find us on 792 and 828’ and this is followed immediately by a sung jingle “97 FM Chiltern Radio” mixed messages !!

May 2, 2016 at 1:04 pm #100021professor1036Great contributions folks…loving it!
May 2, 2016 at 1:07 pm #100022professor1036Here’s my contribution…slightly off-topic, but still jingle related.
The cringeworthy 1989 publicity promos for TVS as part of their bid to retain their Channel 3 licence, however the very catchy soundtrack was provided by Alfasound with JAM vocals. However there was an earlier version with TM vocals…
May 12, 2016 at 9:45 pm #100062RadioloveThat first advert for Key 103 was also voiced over later on by Radio Luxembourg’s Benny Brown and it had an electronic style dropping scale sound over the volume knob turning
January 24, 2022 at 1:09 am #107076JimScottGarlandMemberNot only did jingles become ad campaigns for the UK. It just pops up everywhere in the US during that vintage timeframe. For example, Check out this cool jingle package done by Bernie Krause for KOFY-TV, formely known as KTZO-TV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoYraJCQYeo In the beginning, The slogan was “Heart of the city, Top of the bay”. The slogan ended up changing to “We’ve got what you’re looking for”. Whoever these jingle singers are, they sung in unison. And when they got to the “Twen-Teee!!!”, They sing in perfect harmony.

Turns out, according to one commenter, “it was actually done in San Francisco by Bernie Krause and his studio Parasound.”
