But surely the KGFR calls are not licenced to anywhere in Texas?

I might go with KWFM-DB instead.

Which one sounds better Your GFR, with the GFR standing for Global Freeform Radio, or Walt FM?

Also, what would be a good name for a radio format that plays music that you know and love as well as playing indie music, both of which covering the musical spectrum? I am thinking of names because I want to propose this radio format to different radio stations.

Hi, this is Tiger from TQ105 here.
I noticed that they are looking for internet stations that uses Reelworld jingles.

While it is impossible, technically, you can order jingles from them as long as you’re a radio station and its for broadcasting purposes. But, there are a few catches.

                                1. You can’t use jingles that are already used by other stations in certain market from the same company. When ordering a jingle package, a radio station gets a market exclusivity contract based on their policy, which means, that jingle package was made uniquely and specially for that station only and they have the rights to air that package. Including the logo melody.

(i.e. if your station airs the KIIS-FM 2020 package with the exact logo melody, it’s yours and no other station can air any other KIIS-FM package with the exact logo melody. But, if you use the RFM jingle package with a different logo melody, it should be fine since no stations are using the package at this moment. You can even try modify its logo melody to make it sound unique for your station.)

                                2. Invest earlier to get the jingles you love the most. Each cuts can cost as much as a huge PC and the whole package can cost you as much as a small car. If you can, save up first and when you finally got that much, pick at least 5 cuts you like and get in touch with them to seal the deal.

                                3. The logo melody of the jingles are adjusted to the name of the station, including the sonic logo. But because Reelworld jingles are versatile, that station name can be sung with the exact melody, depending on which logo you pick. (i.e. the 2Day FM logo sings well with SAFM, and so on.) Since you’re planning to launch an internet radio station soon, I think one of your brandings might fit well with the Lite FM logo, much like the RFM package from RW.
(Also, if you want to identify your internet station, you can try creating mock callsigns, followed by the location your internet station you’re in. i.e. (HTFN-DB, Internet) You can even change the city sings to sing out “Worldwide” or “The Internet” in their TOTH IDs, too.)

As for the internet stations itself, which as titled, uses RW jingles, I found two examples. Splash365 (WPLX-DB) and Free99 (KETF-DB) both uses jingles from Reelworld. Hopefully this might help you if you are considering running your own internet radio station in the future. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to let me know.

How exactly do you determine which market your internet station is in though? Is it based on where you personally are located?

Also, it looks like Splash365 is switching to TM Studios jingles.

Well, an internet station has a worldwide audience, but its HQ location can be located almost anywhere, so its possible that the market of that station are based on where the station located, much like how normal radio stations would.

You’re welcome. Hopefully there will be more internet radio stations out there with very good jingles like this.
                                        I’m sure this one helps.
