In Britain it’s the start of a long holiday weekend, so here’s a long jingle montage (ie a long montage of jingles, not a montage of long jingles). It begins with a mini-Capital tribute. Mostly it’s the usual stuff, so stoke up the barbecue, grab a beer, and enjoy.

One question what package was the Beacon 303 from?

Part of of it sounds like an Alfasound Radio Trent Jingle !

The Beacon cut was from their “You” series (around 1978, I think) which I have listed as being made by Standard Sound (but others tell me it’s Emison). I’m not sure about a similar Trent cut, but Len Groat certainly had a jackdaw approach to buying jingles, encouraging Alfasound to recreate IDs and other music he liked. I always remember that great traffic bed which recreated the theme tune from Cagney & Lacey.
