There`s plenty of PAMS experts who read Jingle Mad and who are better informed than me regarding PAMS material BUT I`ve never heard of a PAMS package called Washington, My Home.

There is a PAMS station song with the lyrics…..

“that`s my home town”

resung for several stations including the pirate BIG L Radio London.

I think what you’re referring to is a city song that PAMS did, with the lead vocal sung by Jean Oliver. There were versions done for NYC, Buffalo and others. I don’t know of a version for Washington… but I can take a look. This city song was not part of any PAMS syndicated package (as the two other hometown cuts… MY HOMETOWN and SING A SONG ABOUT were part of PAMS Series 16).

Okay… What you’re referring to is known as PAMS’ Piano Ballad. I have searched through what I have here and don’t see it listed. Again, I know there were versions done for WABC (lyric’ed NY USA) and WKBW (lyric’ed BUFFALO, MY HOME)… but I’ve never heard a version for Washington. Do you know what station it was cut for?

this is funny, i was the one who looked for and found it myself!

Actually I asked this stuff, cause i read an article about PAMS jingles at about.com. They’re having this list of old PAMS jingles, some were already gone and some of those were dumped and was picked by no less than Jon wolfert, and Washington , My Home was one of those pAMS packages Jon did picked out from the trash. I believe with TC, that this was also done for NYC and BUffalo, just listen to the package and when i found out about this, my hairs are raising at the back of my neck.

i love pams jingles, you know they’re classic!

I have the NYC and Buffalo versions, so they do exist. I just posted the Pittsburgh version, since it was at my fingertips.
