So,

I saw the link on jinglenews.com for LITEhouse jingles for AC. I thought…ok…I've go over and give them a listen…I'd never heard of them before. I got to the website and saw they were made by the same company that does KissVille's jingles. Let me start out by saying, if you like KissVille, more power to you…but everytime I hear them…especially a TOH cut…I throw up a little in my mouth. They're HORRIBLE! There's NO melody whatsoever. Now…this could be that I'm a HUGE Reelworld fan and I know that Reelworld One will knock KissVille back into the abyss…but enough bashing. The whole point of this post is to say…I really LIKE LITEhouse's AC jingles. They're very catchy! What does everyone else think?

thanks for lettting me know about Young Guns Studios and for want of a better word, there are some “nice” jingles on the website and no doubt will work well on-air in the country music radio market. I do like their News bed too, quite a simple guitar “riff” but very effective and pleasing to the ole ears.

A little harsh I think there. We have been running Kissville here at Channel 4 in Dubai since May last year. We are very happy with what we get from Kissville and on air it sounds FANTASTIC.

For me that is saying alot as I have been a Reelworld fan since day one and they have been on air at Channel 4 since 2001, so to make the switch was a very brave move on my part (I have even been dubbed one of the toughest PD's by the guys at JonesTM!). So in Kissvilles defence, we love them!

Well said, Neal – nice to have a little balance. Those “I really like jingles from X and hate them from Y” simplifications rarely get us very far.
