      I heard the 1982 Police influenced jingle from Music Now differently….. It sounded more like Don’t Stand So Close To Me, to me. (no Chuckle Brother’s puns please).

      At the time I was sure that Sting had done this as a cross promotion thing for the BBC, the vocal was so convincing. Unlike anything else in the package it just fades like a song long after the vocal has ended. I can’t think of any other JAM production that does this….. Perhaps Jon will tell us more:

            From Radio 1’s 1984 package: “Woo-woo, the best sound in Britain, Radio 1” I’m sure is based on Wham’s ‘Bad Boys’ single.
