Even in paradise, you have to have a good sound to stay on top. KSSK has recently dumped their “Big Time Honolulu” package from TM and has gone back to some of their older “Big Time Radio” and “More Big Time Radio” for jingles. Give a listen to these examples and let me know what you think. Voiceovers are provided by Jeff Laurance.

I'm thinking they are trying to shy away from “92 3” since the FM will simulcast on AM fulltime now. Gone will be the “Kansas City 2000” jingles on “AM 590”

“Big Time Honolulu” has been on for many years….

Once upon a time, KSSK-FM 92.3 was KGMQ-FM, and 590 AM Honolulu was…KGMB, so for those that haven't heard this before, its the very rare Musicreations “Synful Brass”…

(Apologies for the quality – the “artifacts” aren't MP3 but tape-squeal! Its a very old tape!)

And now, after at least 20 years using TM jingles, it has switched to Reelworld WLIT jingles. TM Morning Show and KQQL jingles are still used for “Perry & Price”.
