Here’s a montage of JAM jingles for KS95 in Minneapolis–Saint Paul that I’d never heard before until yesterday.

Please does anybody know what package these are from as I’m guessing it is an un-demoed custom from the mid-90’s.?
December 8, 2015 at 9:32 pm #99135RobinBlamiresThat’s the “Full Access” package. It was on the Country Vol.2 CD.
The one at 14 seconds got sped up by a semitone and had FX added to the start.

December 13, 2015 at 12:07 pm #99160mbMemberI went back and listened to the Full Access Demo – It didn’t really stand out for me but the KS95 Version did – much prefer the KS version – I kinda feel the same way about Hit Power I thought the Power 92 demo was disappointing verses the amazing version for Beacon Radio.

The TOH heard in the package is a Legal ID. And legally, you have to say the COL (city of license) right after the call letters.
So “KSTP-FM, St. Paul, Minneapolis” will count for a Legal ID.
“KSTP-FM, Minneapolis, St. Paul” would not count and the Legal ID would still have to be sung or spoken near the top of the hour.
I’ve heard other KS95 packages (like Evolver) where the TOH jingle is “KS-95, Minneapolis, St. Paul” but that wouldn’t count for a Legal ID.
I’ve read the Legal ID’s in the US can be tricky. You can’t even say the word “in” in between the call letters and COL. So “KSTP-FM in St. Paul, Minneapolis” wouldn’t count.

We had a tower outside Corvallis Ore.
The station was in Albany 10 miles from the transmitter siteDecember 15, 2015 at 3:39 am #99175michiMemberI’ve heard other KS95 packages (like Evolver) where the TOH jingle is “KS-95, Minneapolis, St. Paul” but that wouldn’t count for a Legal ID.

Many stations in the states these days rush through the legal ID a couple of minutes before the top of the hour. Those that use jingles may use a TOH that is not necessarily a legal ID.
Legal IDs must include the call letters and the city of license. Various items can be inserted between including the owner of the station, the frequency and/or the channel number. In the USA, Canada and Mexico, FM frequencies are designated channel numbers from 201 for 88.1 then every 0.2 MHz up to channel 300 for 107.9… those channel numbers are never broadcast over the air and radios do not have them on the dial. Some vintage FM radios were marked from 201 to 300.. The idea for the high channel numbers was to prevent confusion with television [and AM stations that used “channel…” as a part of their moniker (“KFWB Channel 98”, “KRIZ Channel 1-2-3”). What can’t be inserted between are other cities, but you can add cities on the end as with the “KSTP-FM St. Paul Minneapolis” example. In the old days, the rules were much more strict.
