Thanks Chris – I would never have guessed they were from TM Century – that’s probably why I’ve been hunting around for weeks!
The example on the Key103 website and one of the others are indeed cuts 1 and 12 from TM Century’s Hallelujah It’s morning (can only spell hallelujah myslef after visiting the site).
I had to dig around a bit for the third (and my favourite) example. Found it to be cut 8 from Joyful Noise. I’ll post an off air recording of this one later in the week if I can manage to tidy the (Daniel Powter contaminated) ending up using the demo!

December 22, 2005 at 6:02 pm #25442MartinSJust heard a new “Manchester’s Number 1 Hit Music Station” sung jingle on air. Heard a couple of times (not sure if it’s the same cut twice) in the past hour or so. It’s great to hear a sung strapline back on the station!
Anyone any ideas who they are produced by?
Not sure if they are gradually phasing them in, as I’ve heard loads of the existing Music 4 cuts today. The top of the hour is definately still the Music 4 sequence.
Perhaps this could be the other EMAP Reelworld package?

Interesting Martin, I didn’t hear anything other than the Music4 cuts this morning, I’ll have to tune in.
Take a listen to the first demo at http://www.onthesly.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=40 these aren’t these the cuts you heard are they?

December 22, 2005 at 7:47 pm #25445RjMIgnore my last post, the Key 103 logo now appears on Reelworld’s front page… and I’ve just heard one of the new cuts on the air! Seems to be a similar vocal style to the new Hallam FM package.

December 22, 2005 at 8:56 pm #25447RjMThere is now a sneak peak of this package, along with Kiss Boston ’06 and WTOC ’06 at reelworld.com
Here’s a few cuts from “Key 103 2006” recorded off air in the last hour:

Thanks for pointing that out Rob. I checked the Reelworld site this afternoon as soon as I heard the jingle on the radio. Managed to find the three examples under the 2006 preview demo.
I agree that the cuts I’ve heard so far do seem of a similar style to the Hallam FM package. However, I think the Key103 strapline sounds much better – being a geographical one!
I’d had a suspicous feeling of late that the 2nd package may of been for Leeds based Radio Aire, as they are desperate for some new imaging. I wonder what will happen there? Perhaps they’ll have the new Kiss Boston package re-sung to follow their version of the last Kiss package. Having said that, it probably wouldn’t suit the station to well now that it’s a lot more AC than CHR.
