KCFM started in Hull this morning using what I believe are jingles by Thompson, but i could be wrong!! Anyone heard them? There incredibly similar to WHCR (West Hull Community Radio)'s jingles.
August 1, 2007 at 2:35 pm #31724Good Time OldieRe KC FM, I thought they sounded like JonesTM, possibly KVIL package , but hey could be wrong.
Sounds like the old YRN with Tim Jibson in charge, along with Tim Finlay, Al D etc.
August 1, 2007 at 2:37 pm #31725PaulKCFM's jingles come from TM's KVIL Signature package… they also had a custom news theme composed.
We have some of their jingles in this month's podcast which will be out towards the end of this week.

Great to AT LAST hear some good new jingles…Well sung, with vocal variety and YES a warm close solo!!
I particularly like them as they have a GROUP vocal which JUMPS out of the radio… well done on ignoring the fashion for solo vocalists who sound like 'Aretha's niece and Rod's nephew'
What a great launch package for a new service:
.. a memorable melody, lively bright brief and real (as we used to say!)
August 1, 2007 at 8:06 pm #31738JingleMadMemberWho is the uk contact for these jingles ..
they are good , a bit old skool .. but Im over the hill..
For Thompson .. They still can put out a great jingle package .. Sad The KCR Fm jingles in Merseyside and the Palm fm jingles .. dont have that bite and are a bit hospital radio .. maybe the didnt use the best singers on those packages
brink back USA jingles to uk radio
August 1, 2007 at 9:45 pm #31742martinlesterMemberThis is JonesTM at its best
Full Group on most cuts and a solist that has a great voice you can clearly hear
It it just me but don't a full package with just solo cuts get very worn out sounding after only a few weeks use
Give me a Full Group any day ! !lol
August 1, 2007 at 9:47 pm #31743IainJohnstonMemberJingles for “grown-ups” for a change!
Nice harmonies, good vocals (although the “Eight”
sounded a bit funny?). The logo is a bit Thomson-ish
but the cuts don't have that “squashed-in” style.A refreshing change though – Well done (Jones)TM
August 1, 2007 at 10:35 pm #31745JingleMadMemberMp3 .. I know they are from the usa .. and now see they are jones ……..

I was wondering if the news cut was custom, its very good. I'm off to listen to KVIL's signature package now, cant believe I missed the fact that it was them!!
The excellent Tim Finlay is on Sunday morning I wonder if he'll use the jingle that Londonbeat sung for him?! “Hey! Whose that on your radio, so fine its Tim Finlay ohhh yeah ohh yeahhh….”September 1, 2009 at 2:33 pm #69526MikeBrownPaul wrote:

I would have thought that now the station has been taken over by the Lincs FM Group a melodic instrumental news jingle would have been up their street until they begin using the groups package?
I've noticed a few acapellas sneaking onto the airwaves too.
September 1, 2009 at 11:28 pm #69545JingleMadMemberYeah I know. I listened to a CCM station using the same jingles but they don't use the news or traffic bed at all. Sad, so vary sad.
