Hey what happened to the US jingles on aircheckdownloads.com?
Checked the jingle page and they have been removed.
Anyone?December 18, 2017 at 1:22 pm #102448mjb1124MemberLooks like they’re still there, but only listed on the US Airchecks page.

December 20, 2017 at 8:11 pm #102464rakMemberHeard the Teford stuff this morning. The KBIG cuts are very nice. Would sound good today, but just with the frequency sings. Sung slogans are a bit out of fashion, I think.
Re sharing on social media – the problem with sharing anorak stuff on Facebook is that close family members get email notifications, and colleagues/friends family might start thinking it’s a bit anorakky. Happier replying on Twitter, as only like minded folk who follow me and aircheckdownloads ever get to see it (unless they’re poking around the Tweets and Replies tab)

Why not make it a closed group on fb. I don’t interact with the like page but I lurk.
Then only those people see what you are talking about.December 21, 2017 at 8:43 am #102466GrahamCollinsGood point Rak.
It still irks me that if we were all interested in football (NFL & Soccer) and could name our favourite team line ups from years gone by, this would be considered as being a ‘fan’ and quite acceptable.
Being able to identify a 30 year jingle package, one is considered oddball, weird and an anorak this side of the pond. A derogatory term.
Do our American friends relate to the word Anorak ? It stems from those people who collect train numbers and need to stand in all weathers on a platform in a warm padded coat with a hood – an anorak.

I think the term ‘Anorak’ was coined by DJs on Radio Caroline in the ’80s, regarding ‘enthusiasts’ who used to visit the boat. As in… “Oh, look! Here come the Anoraks” as the boat approached. I believe there may even have been a more derogatory nickname, but I can’t use that language on this forum!
