There are a bunch of YOU jingles done by recording artists for KFRC. I don't think they were ever publicly distributed, tho.

A number of artist did DJ/Station jingles in the past including THE BEACH BOYS and THE FOUR SEASONS (just to name two).

Great audio history. The “You” package is surely one of the best jingle series ever. Great to see/hear it like this.

I have all of the KFRC cuts on one of the hard drives. I just don't know where. Too many computers……

            Hi TC

I thought you'd know something about these ;) If you ever do track them down I would sure appreciate a dub.

Were these particular cuts recorded at TM ? The mix and reverb sound great – in stereo they'd be magical.

I'd love to see the paperwork between TM, KFRC and A&M………..

            Thanks for your thoughts.

Actually I don't think TM had anything to do with these cuts other than providing the track in the clear to KFRC. Therefore I doubt any paperwork exists. I've figured out what computer the stuff is on and will try to see what exists after the kids go to sleep tonight. I will likely post a few sample edits as I don't think it's my place to give out the full recordings.

THE YOU CAMPAIGN was actually produced in Los Angeles at Dick Hamilton's studios. Other packages done there (for TM) include Fusion, Good Feelings, Synergy and The Actualizers (a/k/a Hot Hits).

Heard this a couple of months ago and thought how good Karen Carpernter could have been as a jingle singer if it had all gone belly up with Richard…

The funny thing is, WE'VE ONLY JUST BEGUN (written by Paul Williams) was actually originally a commercial for a bank.

                  Amazing stuff.
