Here’s my Christmas Montage for 2015 with Special Guest appearance………..
Have a Jinglely Christmas!
Pete
December 20, 2015 at 12:05 pm #99200Sean MartinMemberI knew it would be a fun listen when I hit the button. Cool
Merry Christmas, Pete.
December 21, 2015 at 4:19 pm #99205IainJohnstonAs more stations, and their jingles, morph into corporate network generic blandness and “bleepy ill-fitting sonic logos”, I find it harder to find any “new” sung Christmas cuts to compile a traditional Christmas Jingle Montage.
With the exception of one “local” station (aka local sometimes, otherwise very clever “on [station name inserted by the playout system in the same presenter’s voice]”, whose “Christmas strapline” is sung to what appears to be the exact same melody as their number one competitors existing and well-established “normal every day strapline” melody), the only really FRESH Christmas stuff I’ve heard of late has been… very recent re-sings on JM – so thank you Len, Ratnob and Upsweep for at least keeping the spirit of “Christmas Cuts” alive o({:^)
So, with some fresh (jingle) wrapping paper around last year’s packet of hankies, here’s my previous Christmas effort for those (un)fortunate enough not have heard it.

December 22, 2015 at 9:33 am #99215ratnobMemberGreat stuff, Iain – I’ve always liked that saccharine Tanner Christmas cut (here for Manx Radio – around 2:40). Thanks for posting.
December 22, 2015 at 7:30 pm #99216IainJohnstonThanks Geoff :^)
I’ve got a dub of that package still lurking somewhere, probably in mp3 – first heard the cuts late one night long ago long-distance (thats “DX” for younger listeners…) crystal clear but with a good old-fashioned ‘het whistle in the background. Tape is … somewhere…
There’s a “‘Tis the Season to be Jolly” cut also – in TWO versions – one for the “Holiday Season” (i.e. USA Xmas) and one for the …er… “holidays”, as at that time the UK and the USA didn’t quite understand each other on the meaning of “Holidays” i.e. UK “summer holidays” = USA “vacation” and Christmas is…
Hence why a deep dig can uncover e.g. various earlier Radio Two JAM never-aired cuts for just that reason, and there’s a few ILR station items “Out There” in similar “separated by a common language” vein…
oO(:^)(A challenge for anyone to post a few?)
PS – Geoff – just playing your “Christmas Cracker” on the S/c panel – did I really hear a quick bit from the old EAP 7″ demo vinyl ?!?!?
December 23, 2015 at 11:10 pm #99222ratnobMemberThanks Geoff :^)

Sadly, yes
December 24, 2015 at 11:19 am #99224IainJohnstonAbsolutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with jingles – but for everyone who had a Scalextric (pronounced Scale-ect-trix in Scotland!) set as a hobby before “discovering jingles)…fell free to drool at this…

And, yes, ours is STILL in a box in the garage and working – but no arty-farty digital/wirefree controller nonsense though!
o0{(:^)Merry Christmas One and All !
December 24, 2015 at 9:46 pm #99231m_hodgeyMemberFantastic stuff Pete and thanks for sharing your mix again Iain.
I would just like to take this opportunity to wish everyone on here a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2016.
And talking about fresh wrapping paper around last year’s offering, here’s the 2014 remix of my Christmas JingleMix for those who haven’t heard it or would like to hear it again!
My mix of festive jingles was first conceived back in 2004 as “JingleMad JingleMix Volume 4”. In 2007 I dusted the cobwebs off this mix and revamped it with additional material. Since then, the mix was updated with additional festive cuts (including my own Christmas personal cuts from JAM) in 2010, 2011, 2012 and finally last year in 2014.
As we are now fast approaching Christmas Day I thought I would share my festive jingle mix once again with everyone on JingleMad and in doing so, wish you all a Merry Christmas:

As ever, to truly appreciate the mix, please make sure you belt it out at top blast whilst having Christmas Dinner!

The link is working now – I’d mistakenly marked the file as “private” instead of “public”. Enjoy!

December 24, 2016 at 11:14 am #101004rakMemberMerry Christmas, everyone. Hope you’re all watching Willy Wonka on itv3. Soon to be remade as Jonny Jingles and the Jam Factory.
5 Golden Tickets to the Vault, but who will make it all the way without taking copies of the masters, dubbing copies they shouldn’t be, or taking the gold discs on the wall? ☺
December 24, 2016 at 2:35 pm #101005IainJohnstonCareful ‘rak – everyone will think those tickets are REAL!!! (… OK, we wish……)
Meanwhile…

December 24, 2016 at 9:16 pm #101010m_hodgeyMemberFantastic stuff as ever Pete and Iain!
With a sense of déjà vu and not wanting to break tradition, as we are now fast approaching Christmas Day, I thought I would share the 2016 remix of my Christmas JingleMix with everyone on JingleMad, and in doing so, wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2017:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Al3ZZzrqNZ5u0hOrSPaA1e7CbNr5I hope you all enjoy it; especially if you missed the previous versions of my festive jingle mix.
To truly appreciate the mix, please make sure you belt it out at top blast whilst having Christmas Dinner!
December 24, 2016 at 10:28 pm #101011DuncanNewmarchMemberMerry Christmas everybody… I have something jingly to wake up to, thank you Jon!
December 25, 2016 at 12:16 pm #101012LenGroatA seasonal THANK YOU to everyone for this topic (particularly ‘Hodgey’ for the amazing compilation) + all the others posts, audio, and lively debate in 2016 !
Here’s a seasonal jingle surprise and quiz – I FORGOT to add this when we got it in 2015 – can’t believe that as it’s one of the BEST most usable jingles we’ve had from JAM – we LOVE it and it’s a personal favourite!
https://soundcloud.com/len-groat/whistle-full
How long before someone can ‘NAME THAT JINGLE PACKAGE’ – and any guesses as to who is whistling?
I don’t recall hearing ANY re-sings for this superb cut…. can someone find one to add
Best wishes for an even more jingleiferous 2017………..
Len
December 25, 2016 at 7:36 pm #101015IainJohnstonDuncan, I believe your order came through just a few days earlier – what cut(s) did you get? :^)
IJDecember 26, 2016 at 9:48 pm #101016JAM / PAMSMemberIf you’re not hearing enough Christmas jingles on the radio, try turning on the TV:
And since the jingle is never loud enough, here’s the audio by itself:
Happy holidays to all from JAM!
December 27, 2016 at 2:14 am #101017glenThanks Jon.
I saw a a while ago ; but never got around telling people about it.
