          I suggest Salford Quays for the location. Usually a quiet pub or two can be found there.

          Unless anyone knows of a decent quiet pub in the city centre /ahem/

              Ufortunatley I won’t be able to make this Manchester event because I’m working in Wales this weekend (arhhh!) I hope there’ll be more of these events in the future because I really do want to make one of these events to see you all in the flesh (and of course have a few drinks and babble about jingles all night).

                Hey that’s no excuse Mark. It’s almost on route from South Yorkshire to Wales :) !!

                For those that can make it, in addition to the message that’s gone out.. it’s worth noting that one of the free city centre metroshuttle buses (2/Green) goes right by the CRI it if you’re coming into Manchester from Victoria or Oxford Rd stations – they run every 10 mins up until 7.

                Also.. if you’re coming in at Piccadilly station, the Altrincham and Eccles trams will take you to G-Mex tram stop on top of the Deansgate Locks viaduct, which just over the road from CRI (but in the air) for 50p!

                Watch it, you’ll all drive now!

                        thanks to everyone that came – i’ll post the couple of pictures I took on the site just as soon as I can get the new camera to work with the PC software!
