Yep, that’s me, from the late, great Q105radio.com.
When I started working in “real” radio again I didn’t have enough time to mess with Q105… but I think I’ll bring it back some day. Thanks for the kind words, and hopefully I’ll be able to get some new jingles up for you guys to hear soon.

You say “JAM have contributed nothing to this community”
But has anyone asked Jon
its just strange that he started as a Jingle collector himself and you would think with his background he would want to take part ?

October 15, 2004 at 1:33 pm #24299DavidHemsleyOf course we’ve asked – we’ve asked for news for JNN too but he never sends any.
We asked for any bits for Jingle Day . . . . nothing.
I ain’t asking no more!
October 15, 2004 at 5:25 pm #24300AdminIn Jon Wolfert’s defence, I do know that there a number of projects that Jam are working on right now. I’m sure that it’s not a case of ignoring the requests, it’s just that whatever pays the bills will obviously take priority.
Jon appreciates the fact that people all over the world want collector dubs from their favorite Jam package, but having just come back from there I understand the situation more clearly now.
Not as many people work at Jam as you would probably think.
October 15, 2004 at 8:09 pm #24301jkubiakYou are right on the dot Neal. Although Jam is one of the bigger jingle companies, they operate on a very small staff. I have called there to talk to my sales rep a few times , and Jon Wolfert is answering the phones himself. What pays the bills obviously comes first.
October 15, 2004 at 8:40 pm #24302DavidHemsleyYeah but it takes moments to write a polite email doesn’t it? Just a “sorry we can’t do anything at this point” takes about 10 seconds.
Anyway, thankfully I asked TMCentury to be our main sponsor and they have done us very proud.
So I made the right decision.
October 16, 2004 at 9:35 am #24303DJI am sorry I must agree with daivid on this point
a few lines reply to an email would not have gone a miss
Lets face it Ben Feedman runs a lot smaller operation than Jam and
he does a lotWhen KenR was running his own Jingle business he always replyed to my
emails, and lets face it I am sure its not just jingle collectors that listern to jingle network so if for example he sent a few of the new WABC jingles for the newtwork news he might have got a few sales out of it😥
October 16, 2004 at 10:26 am #24304InfernoHi folks,
I’m reading all this with a tinge of sadness. Like David said Jon Wolfert could have easily replied with a short polite e-mail. Mind you Jon Wolfert did used go on the Media UK website about a year ago. I remember him getting a little defensive with a jingle collector regarding JAM’s workload in the hot AC and CHR radio sector or something like that. Maybe he’s still a little upset about that and distances himself a little from forum’s like these….unless anyone knows of a jingle forum he goes on?October 16, 2004 at 4:52 pm #24305DJI have seen a post from him on TC website but that was years ago
October 17, 2004 at 1:28 pm #24306audioconnellHere in Buffalo, New York, we’ve got some great collectors and some great radio history.
However, the Brits seem to be kicking the US’ butts in golf and jingle collecting as of late.
October 18, 2004 at 3:32 pm #24307jkubiakVery true, I wonder if it is easier to get dubs of a stations jingle package in the UK than it is to in the US.
October 18, 2004 at 4:11 pm #24308AdminIt was always alot harder to get dubs from the US before the internet. When I was in the UK, I was fortunate enough to know jocks over the pond that were happy to make dubs.
Over the years I also got to know people that work in the jingle industry. They were happy to pass stuff along too. However most of my stuff has come from station masters or carts.
Now we have the internet it’s made life so much easier. I probably have more US stuff than UK stuff, but that’s my preference!
October 19, 2004 at 2:59 am #24309jkubiakI have a pretty big package collection, but most of it has been obtained through jinglemad or other related sites. The radio station packages that I have I have collected from the stations that I worked at. I am wondering how to approach stations to dub their packages for my collection without sounding crazy.
October 19, 2004 at 1:03 pm #24310topcatWell… I’ll be down in Florida next week… and hooking up with a couple of collectors down there while in the neighborhood.
We’re everywhere!
