How nice. I will make it a point to do on Monday. Thanks.
I remember “TIM” when he had just gotten out of the service (USAF I think) and was hired by a friend to be p.d. at a new AM rocker.
We chatted a couple years ago about the high noon fire horn test. The studio was directly across the street from the fire station, and they would test the alert horn at high noon.
No matter where you were listening, you got to enjoy the dozen blasts, clear as a bell, through the noon news cast……….

Tim moved on; found his way to Texas where he became the other “T.M.” of TM and took an uncles name of Jim.

            R.I.P.

I believe that Jim Long is the same as the founder of FirstCom Production Music.

yeah. Tim was involved with Commercial Recording Corp, and He & Tom moved on with that “sound” and style to form TM. As many of us know, TM went through extensive ownership changes over the years. Tim did set up FirstCom. You know, all these guys were in a big league club.
As an example, a load of PAMS were resung at TM in the Freedman, Kaufman, Meeks era. Frequently pieces of equipment were shared by the Dallas clique.

b.t.w., If my memory is right, the “Jim Long” name was from his mothers side. And, Tim grew up outside of Worcester.
