Has anyone else ever picked up on the fact that there are some slight variations in the music bed on some of this jingle’s re-sings? I’ve noticed that on the WBSB and WXLK versions for example, the syntisized notes at around :06 have been changed slightly from what is on the demo. I’ve dubbed these notes the “Star-Trek Effect” since it reminds one of the theme to Star-Trek if you listen to it carefully.
When I’ve first heard these slight differences, I’ve came to the conclusion that either:
1:) The final version of the bed (the one that was on the demo) had not been finalized and the stations that had ordered it early wound up with slight variations of the music bed. That theory is plausable, since I had a advanced demo of the “Z World” package at one time that had several changes done to the cuts before the final version of the demo came out.
or….
2:) Jon & Co. had added “that extra touch” to make this jingle stand out from each other when they are resung. I would buy into this as well since JAM has a history of making each station’s re-sing sound unique (And that’s a good thing, IMHO
).
or….
3:) It’s just the processing equipment in either the production studio or in the on-air chain that is picking up on the notes and making them sound different from one another (my least favorite theory, but it’s possible).
Am I alone in this or has anyone else noticed this as well?
