Here are all main cuts JAM created for German Alpha/Delta Radio, a rock outlet that started off in the 90s. A coproduction of Top Format and JAM, and one of the first European custom packages. I didn’t find this demo on the JAM site, maybe I overlooked it.

Actually some very “marketable” cuts amongst those – wonder if any have cropped up within other JAM packages but with say some brass or synth added?May 16, 2020 at 10:25 am #104962MarcMannetjeI wouldn’t know Iain, maybe ESPN or KS95 – those packages come in mind when thinking of rock orientated jingles.

> Actually some very “marketable” cuts amongst those – wonder if any have cropped up within other JAM packages but with say some brass or synth added?Three cuts from the JAM “Alpha Rock” package were re-sung in 1993 as add-ons for BBC Radio 1, namely the cut at 0:00 for the “The Great British Bank Holiday” (AR-3), the cut at 1:01 for “The Top 100 Albums” and “The Great British Bank Holiday” (AR-12), and the cut at 1:43 for the Simon Mayo “Not Yawning In The Morning” (AR-13).
May 16, 2020 at 3:11 pm #104964MarcMannetjeThanks for this insight Mark, always a pleasure reading your posts. As you mentioned the package was originally sung for Alpha Radio (‘Alpha Rock’), but Top Format demoed it later for Delta Radio (‘Delta Rock’). Both stations were German, I thought even part of the same radio group.
May 16, 2020 at 3:37 pm #104965m_hodgeyMemberThank you Marc for your kind words.
For the record, Delta Radio was just a rebrand of Alpha Radio, so actually the same station. The story is that Alpha Radio was launched in 1993 as the second private radio station in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, but had to change its name to Delta Radio a few months after the start of broadcast. This was because the Alpha name was already a registered trademark by a company of the Kirch Group, a former German media group.

Would love to hear from anyone who has a cleaner/better quality copy of this demo please. 🙂
May 17, 2020 at 5:55 am #104968MarcMannetjeBrilliant! Some differences though. It seems they had the same vocalists in the studio, but do I hear a female voice? Some cuts like the one at 1’00 is missing in the Delta Package as the music bed at 2’35. Narrator seems to be Bart van Gogh himself, the #1 Top Format producer at the time.
May 17, 2020 at 11:46 am #104969m_hodgeyMemberFollowing on from my post yesterday, here are the JAM “Alpha Rock” resings from 1993 for BBC Radio 1 FM:
