I enjoyed listening to this and liked the extra sports cuts a lot. Cut 1 and the sports jingles (#17-20) are my favorites. When Dan Ingram’s name is sung (#8, #16), it sounds similar to the 1966 “Daaaan Ingram” logo made by PAMS. Since that jingle was so successful for him, was that intentional? All cuts are very effective and enjoyable…way to go, JAM!
April 20, 2016 at 2:49 am #99920JohnLI recall ‘appropriating’ the ‘Brooklyn, we like your style’ cut for the pirate radio station I ran in Brooklyn back around 1986… always loved that package… might have to secure a cut or two from it!
April 22, 2016 at 11:19 am #99929GrahamCollinsI understand that Cut #9 was sung for over 40 different New York districts ! Is this a record or has any other JAM jingle been sung more times within one package ?
April 29, 2016 at 4:19 pm #99994cdwilke85Yes! Finally, I have been waiting for this one for years!
May 2, 2016 at 12:34 pm #100019professor103635 years ago JAM created the “You’ll Like Our Style” package for WABC New York. You can now read the background story, and hear the never-before released stereo mixes of this unusual package on the JAM website.
In addition, four cuts which were not on the original mono demo have been added (#17-20). This includes the strangest idea for a sports jingle ever: doing the “Catch The Yankees” promo in the style of Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” (a song which was played at the ballpark during the games). This particular item was not our idea, but as always we tried to make the best of it! Enjoy.

Nice one Jon…good to hear “You’ll like our style” in all its glory!
June 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm #100335LenGroatBack in April I think we were all Wowed by the ‘You’ll Like Our Style’ anniversary demo. As I said at the time there was one cut I’d like assuming the track was available…
………………..it was !

I’d obviously not heard this until 2 months ago but I could not get it out of my head. I converted it back to a ‘pop radio’ jingle with a music lyric that I think keeps the feel of the vocals and track.
To me it sounds like the boy singers are grouped casually round the microphone, arms on shoulders, singing just for fun – almost Lettermen or soft Beach Boys. It’s an unusual style because of the tempo of the track, almost an UN jingle? It will be VERY usable next to lots of 50s/ 60s song intros; a wonderful casual feel because of the way it’s written. I know it’s “New York New York-ish” but to me it also sounds like Bacharach and David, One change was I wanted just the front not the pad part, so it had a clear vocal end so it would flow to simple song intros – Jon kindly did that
