Just a word in respect of the Richard Johnson jingle medley . . . . . .

To correctly set up Winamp to play mp3 pro files and to ensure you’re getting optimum quality playback, make sure you do the following:

1. Get the latest version of Winamp http://www.winamp.com/player/free.php

2. Get the FREE mp3 pro plugin http://www.mp3prozone.com/assets/mp3PROAudioDecoder.exe

3. Close and restart Winamp

Alternatively, use Cool Edit Pro (Adobe Audition), which is supplied as standard with the mp3 pro codecs.

Those are great Robin, I think you’ve convinced me I need to get a few more cuts ordered! (Like I needed any persuasion!) Love the Z morning zoo cut ‘…sound as dated as DLT…’ great lyrics!

What JAM package does the last cut come from? Don’t think I’ve heard it before.

The cut is from Zword Package , I was also thinking of getting that cut re-sung but I could not come up with any lyrics that fitted !

I am still waiting for my personal cuts to arrive so hopefully they will arrive soon.

I wasn’t sure if they would be happy to sing that Z World cut but after the way the BBC treated JAM in the last decade I think they were only too happy to oblige!

The final cut is Overdrive cut 8 which was used as the TOH on the 96.4 The Eagle in 2000 and also on the sister stations in Bristol and Cambridge.

Contrary to the post I made at the top of the page, some of the BBC’s local stations have made use of JAM jingles recently just in case anyone from the BBC is reading this and I don’t want to give people the wrong idea.

And hear is a version of the DLT cut featuring the man himself and I’ve only just realised that DLT is not the only ex R1 DJ mentioned in this jingle. I’ll let you make up your own mind on who the other one is… 😉

……………and hey presto, 7 months later I finally got around to it! My new JAM personal cut was waiting for me on the doormat when I returned home from work today and I’m really impressed with the final result yet again. The cut I have had resung is Turbo Z Cut 9, which unlike my previous cut, offers me endless oportunities to do alternative versions. 😆

With one thing and another, I haven’t got around to uploading it yet because I want to revamp my web site audio page that it will feature on at the same time. Fear not though as it will be available to listen to by the weekend. (How’s that for a teaser!)

BTW, when I do upload it, you will find it here on the said audio page.

Well Jon@JAM has just emailed me my latest personal cut. Another of my favourite jingles re-sung Have just uploaded it so it should appear in downloads soon. Jon told me this is the first time this version of the jingle has ever been re-sung and he had to dig hard to find the master tape of it. See what you think ….

My new JAM jingles went on the air on my show on Smoke earlier tonight to good listener reaction and now I’m about to unleash them to the Jinglemad community. They are resings from Hot KIIS, Fresh KIIS and The Beat ’92 and can be found here
