Don`t think this has been mentioned previously on Jinglemad (if it has, apologies…)
“Music Jam” for WLS Chicago is now “cut-by-cut” on the JAM website with the jingle names like “Zoom Boom”, “Gliss Off”, “Squawk” love these names
I wonder if these jingle names were written on the WLS carts themselves ?
Check out all the individual Music Jam cuts here…

Thanks Jon…

These names for individual cuts have always fascinated me, partly because they bear no resemblance to the final sound of the cut. They are a kind of in-joke for the writers, I suppose, or a short-hand that means more than “now it’s cut 7”.

Thanks, Jon for putting these up as individual cuts. Is there anywhere they can heard in stereo?

The cut names are more than that. When someone calls and says “I want the cut where they sing ‘se-ven-ty se-ven dou-ble-you-aaaa-beee-cee'” ummm… good luck figuring that one out. When they say “I want ‘bias beat’ from PAMS 43” it’s easier to locate.

The cut from Pro/Mod that resembles a certain Steely Dan song is called “Peg”, the Class Action cut that sounds like “Baby Got Back” is called “Baby”, the Position cut based on “I Wish” is “Wonder-ful”, and so forth. Then you have names that capture the ambience of a cut (“A.B. Seagull” from Pro/Mod) and obvious names like “Legal ID” and “DJ”. But of course, some of them are completely random.
Anyway, it’s good to see this package get its due after not even having a demo up for a while. Some great cuts here, especially cut 23 (“Summer”).

JAM WLS-RADIO ONE (MUSIC JAM #34) by Barras
And in Ireland, Music JAM was heard on Radio Nova, here`s “Builder” cut #12 for Radio Nova…
