Yes, I believe it came from the station.

Knowing that in the pre-internet days it was often impossible to “know” what stations beyond one’s local area “TSA” did in terms of things they sold their listeners (apart from the obvious T-shirts, mugs, badges, etc etc), I’m wondering if a Thread on “finding out which UK stations actually DID “release” copies of their jingles etc to the public” might uncover a few more goodies than those JMers are possibly aware of.

(Remembering that of course the stations would have to have “had the permission of the Copyright Holder” in order to do so ….. “Aye, Sure”! :) )

Not as good as yours but was still fun to do !

          We are commercial radio
          Getting smaller every day
Coz our shows all come from London, Syndicated across the UK
          (IT’S NOT MAGIC)
We’ve got no soul, and we’ve got no heart
But you’ll love the songs we play
We have ‘A Bigger Music’ Variety’
          Thirty different songs each day….
          (THIRTY !)
          Our advertisers are great
We have all our London mates
          And son-ic lo-gos from Wise Buddah to-oo *
          (THEY’RE NEW-EW)
But our listeners are young and thick
And at night we just have asterisks
When we’re taken over it’ll be ‘goodbye’ to us too..
And ‘Au Revoir’ to You !

          * I’d hate to offend anyone……………. :-)

…..so this line “could just as easily be” :

          And son-ic lo-gos from Reel-World to-oo

          And son-ic lo-gos from I Q Beats to-oo

and of course we must not forget those nice people in LA

          And son-ic lo-gos from GrooveWorx to-oo
