October 11, 2009 at 6:00 am #70474just recently i've been watching the return of CBS fm in new york. however, i can't get that to save on my laptop. i'd love to sync this to my IPod or shall i say, “jinglePod.” i'd always love to take that musical timeline/jingle montage with me. always would relieve stress. IMHO, you know what they should have added to the 80's section of the timeline, “the day the music died”, for WABC 77, “the debut of z100”, and the feerce rivalry between power 95 and z100

BTW the Andre Gardner aircheck hasn`t been posted before, it was thanks to Geoff Barton who was in contact with Andre in the 1980s and the KEGL jingles & airchecks have been in Geoff`s attic for the last 20 years !

It was one of Andre`s “snoop-tapes” (what the PD & presenter/DJ listen to – to assess their presentation style) there are some more snoop-tapes and the full JAM master of KEGL amongst Geoff Barton`s collection. Obviously, the snoop-tape in question has been passed around and ended up on that KEGL/KOFM/KOMA website you mentioned and all I meant was, I hadn`t posted that aircheck (or snoop-tape) before on Jinglemad. BTW several of the Jimmy Steele airchecks at KEGL that you posted were recorded by Steve England and featured in the Dallas Area Aircheck Tape released by Alfasound in the 1980s. The series of aircheck tapes by Steve England also featured several other radio markets in the USA…
