I noticed that JAM has updated its banner featuring the logos of stations using their jingles, so I’ve been checking out some JAM stations that I wasn’t aware of. I also noticed that WSNY Columbus (Sunny 95) was still on the list, even though the last time I checked them out it seemed like they dropped their JAM Fresh jingles. So I tuned in again and they’re now using the Now 97.9 package.

The updated front page also promises that “Hot new JAM releases for AC and Classic Hits formats are coming soon!” – I imagine that the Now 97.9 package will be among them, along with KOST and DRC-FM.

I just checked the JAM website, and had to stay at the homepage just to get an idea of the stations that were using JAM. There is no doubt that I will be airchecking a few of the stations just to capture the nice JAM sound!

As far as the JAM radio station logo banner on the JAM website, what I`ve done is to take all the GIF image files (call letters on each GIF) from the temporary internet files and converted them to JPEG files. You can then view each file individually, starting with CFXL (XL 103 Calgery`s Greatists Hits) and ending with WWWQ (Journey 97.9 Totally 80s & 90s) – all together there are 63 radio stations to check out >

Here’s an aircheck of “Mix 95.1” WIKZ in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. They’re mostly using Turn Me Up, but they also have cut 7 from Class Action, which is rather surreal to hear mixed with today’s pop music.

Here`s something even more “weird”, a rock station using sung jingles. WCVS “The Boss” in Springfield, Illinois are using classic JAM jingles which after several listens, sound great in a rock format. This montage is thanks to aircheckdownoads.com.

I checked out WCVS before, definitely unexpected to hear retro JAM cuts on a classic rock station, but it actuallly works surprisingly well.

Meanwhile, in Ontario, CKSG is “Hot Wired”.

yes, i checked that one out, i believe i used to have a jingle from those guys, with a different jock name on the priority 1 cut 4 resing, but this was on my old spare laptop. and now, one of berko’s stations, no, not k97.5, unfortunately, but b103.9, the buffet is open! let’s get the jam jingles while it’s hot!
