Ammendment: I meant to write “are they using Do It Again ?” as WOMC are using The Flame Thrower and Positron….

MemberI know they used a Do It Again/Home of the Hits composite back when they were still known as Oldies 104.3 and Gary Berkowitz was consulting. They do currently have the TOH and a few morning show cuts from Home of the Hits, but I haven’t heard any “104.3 WOMC” Do It Again cuts.

MemberPreviously, this thread has featured resings of vintage KOST jingles for KJUL Las Vegas. Well, now we have another Vegas station, Clear Channel-owned KSNE, using the newest KOST package. Unfortunately they only use about one jingle per hour, coming out of a commercial break, which I think severely limits their impact. But I do like the “it’s always sunny” lyrics. Seems like a lot of “Sunny” branded stations turn to JAM, and there’s now at least three stations in Las Vegas using their jingles (KKLZ being another one).

Perhaps the tide is indeed slowly turning…>

darn it! i was just going to say that! also, somebody in the hartford, CT area should get some tape rolling on WDRC-FM, ascap says they got some new cuts. also we’ve got WQAR in saratoga, NY, and WSJD in princeton, IN. also one that anybody can get is KOSP in Springfield, MO.
January 19, 2012 at 10:59 pm #81786mjb1124
MemberI think I recorded some KOSP cuts before, but lost them when I had to reformat my computer. IIRC, they’re using mostly WABC stuff, plus the Home of the Hits TOH and the Do It Again weather cut.
WDRC-FM apparently got their new cuts in April, though I didn’t hear anything different when I drove through that area last summer. Still wish they streamed – maybe if Ron Sedaille (sp?) posts another show where he’s filling in for someone else, we’ll hear some new cuts. Or maybe they’re specifically for his show.

WQAR does not stream. They are using Q-Cuts TOH for their jingle.

Thanks dogman849 and mjb1124 for the recent uploads and jingle information.
I appreciate you both JAM airchecking and posting audio, great to hear, as a lot of American stations using JAM are “blocked” in the UK and you cannot hear their streams anymore, it`s really frustrating for UK fans of American radio, me, being one of them…

I was just able to catch this with my antenna pointed down towards WDRC-FM. Sounds like JAM, but I don’t know what package.

It sounds like WDRC-FM has a new custom package. I recorded this off the internet the last hour to compliment your jingles jlehmann….

MemberI thought it was about time for JAM to do a new classic hits package, and I’m glad WDRC-FM took the initiative. And I’m definitely liking what I hear so far – a bit like Home of the Hits crossed with The Fyre and the 80’s KIIS packages. Time will tell if this new package can stand up to the WCBS-FM packages, but it’s distinctly JAM, with a great mix of energy and melody. It sounds right at home with the classic hits, but updated just enough for 2012.

MemberDidn’t notice any Skywave resings on the newest K-Hits aircheck… did you mean Flame Thrower? Still a great sounding station though, and WLS-FM seems to have really improved its presentation since I last heard them. There seems to be using a bigger and better mix of jingles, more personality, and less emphasis on the “FM” part of the calls, plus a new logo and “greatest hits” positioner.
Also noticed the 1991 Elvis Duran Z100 aircheck – wow, he sounded a lot different back then. It seems like even by around 1995, when I first started regularly listening to them, his style was more like what you hear today. Of course, there’s great JAM jingles in that aircheck as well.

Here is another station currently using JAM……92.7 The Wave in Columbia, Kentucky…
January 24, 2012 at 9:07 am #81829IainJohnston
MemberThe “ascending” notes just before the “end-sing” of The Wave cut seem familiar from something UK-ILR-ish an awful long time ago! Ring a bell with anyone?

Nicely done by JAM. This might be “AM” Cut 19 which is the same bed. It’s interesting that JAM and KIIS adapted this for the weather bed (cut 32 as David mentioned).
Another fun fact… I believe “AM” Cut 20 is the same cut used in “Fresh Kiss” at the end of their demo, Cut 17.

Here`s some of the “non-JAM” jingles I`ve heard on WHVE “92.7 The Wave” in South Central Kentucky, not sure who they`re by, guessing at TM or Young Guns ?
That’s ‘Country Wave’ from TM Studios. What’s odd is that the JAM cut sings “92.7 The Wave” while the TM cuts are “Wave 92.7”.
Thanks aircheckdownloads.com for identifying which package and jingle company those jingles are from from. As you say, two different station idents sung by each jingle company, it also appears they play the JAM jingles when playing “oldies” music and the TM jingles with other songs.

That may be the first sung legal ID I’ve heard with the HD radio suffix! Neat!
