MemberHere's some of the new WOGL jingles. I don't recognize the TOH or the first cut, but the rest are from Outstanding.

TOH is from Hyperlink.

will it be streaming online? and you work for WRMO? how do you know this stuff.
I can vouch for TaterStud….Chris has worked at several stations in the USA.

Oh okay, I knew I heard that somewhere before. Thanks!
Also thanks to TaterStud for the heads-up on WRMO… looking forward to hearing those!

Well, it seems like it wants to remember its heritage format of WCAU-FM with its "outstanding" resings. now all it needs is the "goldmine" resings and it'll really be another version of WCAU-FM.

The TOH that goes along with the entire "Hyperlink" package itself is made in 1991, and sounds modern than the previous TOHs the station has ever used. Must have been that it is starting to focus more on 80s music, like the one I listened to via stream.

Hey…JAM fans,
check this video out of Dave Foxx at Z100 talking about Jon Wolfert & JAM jingles and the impact they had on-air at Z100, you also get to hear some Reelworld jingles (sorry Jon if you`re reading this !

Now known as WINK 103 from Warm 103.3. The change came today.

MemberLooks like Wink 103 is using Z+, just like their sister station Wink 104 (WNNK) in Harrisburg. I remember getting to listen to WNNK "over the air" during a road trip to Pennsylvania, and they were airing a Saturday night 90's show, which made the jingles sound especially effective.
A few other notes… I was listening to WJLT today and heard the traffic sounder from Turn Me Up. Didn't hear any sung jingles, but I'm guessing the ones that are coming may be from that package. A bit of an unusual choice for a classic hits station, but I could see it working (certainly the frequency/calls would fit well).
Also, two more new clients as per ASCAP. One is country station WLVK (Big Cat 105.5) in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Another is Spanish pop station WHKQ (KQ 103) in Wendermere, Florida. Based on the "KQ" branding and lyrics listed, I'm guessing that they will use The Kit, just like WKAQ in Puerto Rico. I believe this is technically a Top Format package, but it sounds really good with Spanish vocals from JAM as heard on WKAQ. And in any case, between this and Wink 103, it's nice to hear JAM on current pop music-based formats.

I got a Wink 104 montage of JAM jingles off Jeffrey T.Mason when I was in the USA and this montage has remained one of my Top 10 favourite JAM montages of all time. Jeffrey told me it was the production guy at Wink 104 who put this great montage together (can`t recall his name)I have posted this montage before but it deserves another re-post, enjoy !

Greetings:
I have since relocated from Germany to Fort Knox, KY and have rolled tape on Big Cat 105-5 WLVK here in the southern Louisville KY area. Great local station. Too bad they don't stream.
The jingles are definitely from JAM. It sounds to me they are using the same vocal group from WKJY (KJOY 98.3) in Patchogue, NY. Give this a listen:September 21, 2011 at 11:29 pm #80439Maya53
Head's up!
WLZT in Columbus Ohio, which used to be a soft rock station, has recently switched the format to oldies under the name "Oldies 93.3". I gave them a quick listen and they have jingles that does not belong to this type of format. I know it was from Reelworld, but sounds like it may have came from one of their AC packages. I was expecting to hear a package made by a Dallas company but that was not the case.
This is a perfect example of how Clear Channel mess up with their identity when it comes to imaging.

The TOH at 1'18 is from the KSCS 'Seven' package from TM Studios.
So, it`s a mixture of JAM & TM jingles on-air at WLVK as the jingle at 00`21 is cut #05 from JAM`s Country Express.
September 21, 2011 at 11:43 pm #80442tyty21
ooooooooooooh! nice! i knew they said that WLVK was gonna be a jam client on ascap, and they were right! some classic cuts from "country buzz" and "country express"! although they're still using the toh from KSCS 7, one of the jam variations was in fact a legal ID. i thought they were gonna use something like Afterburner and breakthrough.

OK, it's past, somebody's gotta get a check of WJLT, the package has arrived. also, KUAD, KYBG, KNLV, WINY, KNEI, and KSFF are using jam. also, does anybody have a check of WIOP using jam? it's on ascap, it was during its classic hits/oldies format. and i agree on that WLZT thing, they could've used some pams material, or home of the hits, do it again, and some of the jam packages. but noooooooooooooooooo! they had to go with that! and, if anybody's from susanville, CA or eunis, LA, jam's on KGXX, and KEUN-FM. they're not streaming. KHTK and KHVH, using jam!. another thing, i don't know if it's just an online station, or if it's an official station, but 1260 KYA is using some pams/jam material. they refer to it as "golden gate great radio"

105-3 WJLT in Evansville, IN is using TURN ME UP from JAM! Great jingles, considering the package was originally created for WMEE in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and another station in the same state has used this package as well. Also to note: WJYE is a sister station of WJLT, as they are both owned by Townsquare Media. WJYE uses this package.
September 22, 2011 at 1:31 am #80446tyty21
nice! i thought they would be using a package more suited for something of a classic hits format, like home of the hits, hot/fresh kiis, KIIS/90, the z packages, double plus/plus 3, hitradio/hitradio 2, and others.
September 22, 2011 at 5:40 am #80447mjb1124
MemberIt's a bit of an out-of-the-box choice, but I think the package actually fits their format quite well.
Also, Tyrone mentioned KYBG and KHVH. I recorded some cuts from both but hadn't gotten around to posting them until now. KYBG is using a mix of Home of the Hits and Positron, while KHVH is using Stage 10.

Thanks dogman849 for your WJLT montage, here`s another JAM Aircheck of WJLT (just the jingles) , checkout the cut which sings “The Beatles by request” , nice idea using jingles to identify major artists, I know it`s not a new idea PAMS did it and other jingle companies have done it in the past too and all those stations with liners mentioning artists but it`s the first JAM “artist” cut I`ve heard in a while.

The "Beatles by Request" jingle is actually a part of the Mike Harvey show.

i had totally forgot about this, but now available for airchecking is WVOS-FM. i think they're still with jam.

MemberHere's WHKQ (KQ 103), a Spanish-language pop station near Orlando, Florida using The Kit from Top Format with JAM vocals. Though I don't speak Spanish, I can tell this station has a great high-energy sound and really makes great use of its jingles, including having jingles lead into mic breaks. Would like to hear more of this on English-language pop stations.

Indeed, something used much more in continental Europe than here in the UK now, where there seems to be a pathological fear of using a sung jingle anywhere other than after an ad break into music or into the news at the top of the hour.
Nice "buckets of reverb" on "KQ" too I notice!
