MemberThanks mjb1124 for a very comprehensive and informative answer about "Journey", this station name/identity was new to me and no doubt "Journey" will be on British shores over the next few years i.e. Journey Scotland, Journey North-West, Journey North-East, Journey London etc…
Journey in Atlanta are using JAM jingles, whereas, Journey in Cincinnati are using TM jingles. It`s interesting that two jingle companies using the same radio station brand (Journey) is something jinglewise that doesn`t happen in the UK, for example…Smooth Radio, which has several stations across the UK use the same jingle company on all their stations.
It's like they said in the JAM song, "Every city's got a Kiss". There are lots of stations across the country using similar branding that are not connected to each other – even if they have the same ownership, they're still separate entities. For example, there are four "Magic" stations owned by Greater Media. Here in New Jersey, Magic 98.3 (WMGQ) in Middlesex County uses Reelworld, while Magic 100.1 (WJRZ) in Ocean County has Zone jingles. Then there's Magic 105.1 (WMGC) in Detroit with JAM, and Magic 106.7 (WMJX) in Boston which I think uses Zone now, but a different package from WJRZ. Each station also has its own music mix catered to the local area, and with the exception of the two NJ stations, have different on-air and programming staff.
The Smooth Radio network, from what I'm gathering, is comparable to something like the True Oldies Channel. Affiliates of True Oldies will run their network programming most of the time, but sometimes with some local programming at certain times. Of course, some stations like WLS-FM also run some of their own jingles in addition to the national True Oldies ones from TM.

Glad you like the KOMA airchecks – yep the station does stream online without blocking non-US IP addresses. It's sad so many US stations, like WORC, won't let non-US web users listen in. Any chance of a montage or aircheck from someone based in the US? I love to hear classic JAM idents on oldies stations.

MemberSpeaking of WORC-FM, I was wondering if they've ever used any other cuts from Do It Again, or any other JAM packages. Last time I listened, they were using an edited version of the DIA TOH, along with various mixes of two cuts from TM's Platinum package. I know they recently dropped "Oldies" from their branding so maybe they got, or will be getting, some new jingles?

98.9 WORC-FM only had/has that one TOH cut from do it again. A friend of mine was working there at the time they purchased it.

sorry for the late reply, was in vegas this weekend, got home late. however, going by the toh, they are still using jam, and they are using home of the hits. this also goes as well for WLHH in hilton Head, SC. and on a side note, WCVS in Springfield, IL is using priority 1 cut 4. they use jam, haven't heard most of the cuts.

And here's how it sounds on WLHH Hilton Head: 104.9 The Surf – they're using Home of the Hits and Do It Again

It's unmistakably inspired by Series 31.
Loving the airchecks from WRQQ and WLHH, and thanks Jeff for clarifying about WORC-FM.

You are right JingleUploads – thanks to aircheckdownloads.com
By the way: how do I get the audioplayer IN my post in stead of posting a downloadable attachement?

Don't most people prefer to download rather than listen using the player option?
I know I do.August 7, 2011 at 3:21 pm #79944Glenna

Looks like 105.9 Sunny FM in Orlando has added a few new jingles, judging by this aircheck from aircheckdownloads.com. Most of you probably know they've been using resings of Z100 cuts from the 80's and early 90's. But now there's some 70's WABC cuts in there (different from the ones they were using under their previous "Sunny 105.9" branding), and even a PAMS Series 31 resing for the "Sunny Jukebox" feature!

I have a JAM AIRCHECK of Magic 106.3 with Eddy Garcia, a "good times and fun oldies" station, if you would like to hear it, drop me an email and I`ll send it to you…
