i said, i'd find a jam station, and i did! there is one here in my neck of the woods (san bernardino, CA/riverside, CA). do you remember K/Men 129? there were a few pams jingles, (in the 1960's and 70's when a top40,) however, after all these years, it's still on the air as an oldies station! it's using some of the “Kool” packages, in fact, i heard the toh from forever kool. never knew it existed until a few days ago. officially listened tonight! Thanks again for your input in JAM Airchecks Tyrone, I have found an internet page for KMEN but there is no “listen live” or link to a webstream, do you have a link or any airchecks you cold post please ?

JAM – Jon Wolfert sonovox – My100 (composite)
I love the JMW Sonovox on these My100 jingles, its been said before that the sonovox cuts through and it certainly does it for me !

MemberAlways thought it was just “Y-100” as in having a “Y” in the call-letters,
as in “Z-100”?
Now…I'm beginning to wonder…!February 2, 2011 at 3:27 pm #77493Barras
These sonovox cuts are from an internet station called My100…

Thanks David. You've done yourself proud once again! And the master of the SONOVOX too.
And what a great idea to parody the original Y100 with “My” 100

first off, david, i went there via radio time.

now, you did a great job editing those sono cuts! and for anybody who wants, PM me, i have the rest of the composite, (full sings).February 3, 2011 at 11:51 am #77504IainJohnston
MemberExcellent use of sono – the 3 best sono “practictioners” in the world are JMW, Ken Justiss, and Steve England.
For the interest of anyone thinking about buying JAM Personal Cuts, I understand that Jon can do sono “inserts” or “alternative lyric lines” into main cuts when ordering “conventional vocals” cuts for a mere fraction of the cost of buying “stand-alone” acapella sono vocals separately from the main cuts. And it increases the number of mixouts & variants too.
Examples can be heard on My100 cuts with their full group vocal “taglines” then the “station ID line(s)” sung sono.

And…I know, I have posted this video before but it`s in the bowels of Jinglemad somewhere, so here it is again…
Watch “the master” of sonovox record a sonovox jingle for Top Shop-Top Man and I like how Jon asks do we have to “British-ise” the accent…

Just for the record, that`s not Brian Hamilton in the sonovox video, I believe it`s Dave Sharp…

Or a very young Dave Garcia, I think . . . . not sure Dave Sharp engineered any sessions.

Thanks Sean, it is David Garcia and not Dave Sharp. Speaking of the Y100 jingles, here`s some video of those jingles on-the-air…

Somewhere buried in the cassettes here I have airchecks of the cuts in-use. I never did get a copy of the station's master. C'est la vie.

Dan did all of the sonovox cuts for PAMS.
Oh… and speaking of the PAMS Sonovox… and because I do like bragging rights every now and then… one of the original PAMS Sonovox units now lives here in Massachusetts.

Despite the recent hacking causing a loss of audio in threads, I`m pleased to say the majority of the jingle audio in JAM airchecks is still extant, however, if you want to listen to something that has gone, let me know and I`ll re-upload….
March 20, 2011 at 6:38 am #78248tyty21
dave, you might want to look at reuploading the WMJE, WAKY, and KDSK checks again. darn, i hated that the audio got lost here.

Hi Tyrone, we`re off to Egypt, so I`ll re-upload those files when we return….

I'm surprised that no one here had mentioned WAMS Ocean City, Maryland. They are billing themselves as “The 80s Channel” (like the old WXXY/Chicago and WXXY/Port Republic-Atlantic City, New Jersey) and had been on the air for the last year or so. From what I've heard so far in the last hour, they are using a mix of cuts from JAMs “The Flame Thrower”, “Warp Factor”, and Hitradio 2.
Here's a link to the station website (and yes, they are streaming):
Edit: I just heard their resing from Warp Factor Cut #2 (one of my favorite cuts).

Hi. I guess I can refer to myself as "80's guy." I've been associated with more than one 80's station. Three on-air, one online to be exact. I take MAJOR issue with a station that has the balls to play a "Dover's 80's Channel WAMS" jingle into Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing."
At WXXY/Chicago, we DID play a few 1979 and 1990 titles. Though, they were either still on the charts in 1980 or recorded in 1989. So, YES. I'm guilty of breaking the "released in the 80's" rule. But, LEO SAYER??? "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" was released as a single in May 1976. Come on, guys. A little credibility would be nice.
Hey, 80's Guy takes this stuff seriously!!! (And, he refers to himself in 3rd person.)
