let’s get this thread back up and active again! Over the months, i’ve been looking at different stations, found 2 stations, and a syndicated show using Jam. KGEZ Kalispell, MT, and KTMb, Anchorage, AK both using jam. now for a certain somebody who is looking for a station that’s playing Oldies, not the stations we call oldies now, but the ones that play it like back in the 90’s and early 2k, when it was 50’s/60’s/70’s, let me tell ya, KGEZ and KOMJ are the ones for you! however, there is a good news bad news station here, which is KEZW, which took the place of KRWZ, the good news is, they’re still with dallas, the bad news, the jam jingles are out.
the syndicated show, no not america’s greatest hits, but the classic countdown with dick bartley is using a jam custom package.April 26, 2016 at 9:18 pm #99965tyty21and yet another station is Jamming again, well, make it 2. first, in Southwest Florida, there were 3 stations using jam throughout the years. WRTI laser 93.5, WOLZ oldiez 95, and the one that still remains now, WINK-FM in fort myres. using a killer composit from KIIS. also, a certain someone on JM, not naming any names, but has a Z package composit in their old home turf, pre Dallas. I’ll give you a hent, Potsdam
June 11, 2016 at 9:34 am #100286tyty21here’s more jam, and you’re gonna love this one, it’s a guarantee! Just call this a sneak peak at the montage I’m working on. 1 of the stations.

It isn’t JAM though.
June 11, 2016 at 10:45 am #100288tyty21well, lets just say jam/pams and company then. Pams cuts, using jam singers, and a few non jam/pams cuts. Just went by the ones who have the rights the first time LOL.
June 12, 2016 at 11:30 am #100296IainJohnstonI’m unable to play or download it in my ISP browser or via F-fox.
Can we have it via s/c please?
Or can GW “transpond” from one media to another for us (bet most of you haven’t heard THAT term in a while!) ?
:^)June 12, 2016 at 2:01 pm #100310gameswizardMemberOr can GW “transpond” from one media to another for us
For those who need it

“need” – yes – aye – there’s a difference between “needing” and “wanting”…!
Homer Simson meets KenR meets “cut & shut” jingle editing – some nice sono though…
December 15, 2016 at 10:13 pm #100959mjb1124MemberThe newly-launched “Oldies 98” in Suffolk County NY (Long Island) is using JAM resings from Priority One, Positron, and Class Action possibly among others. This is actually WPTY’s HD2 channel being relayed on a translator. Aircheck to follow.
December 22, 2016 at 6:12 am #100980tyty21MJB, i do remember reading over on radio insight, that the PD described it as how radio used to sound. one thing that instantly got me, was when he said “lots of jingles,” instant getter! Jingles By who, remained a mystery to me, til now! I knew he’d picked a winner!
December 22, 2016 at 6:14 am #100981tyty21While we’re on the “new stations” subject, WPLZ in Chatanooga TN has got a jam package on air, with a TOH being from an out-of-box package choice. Nonstop Power!

As promised, here’s a jingle aircheck of Long Island’s Oldies 98. Priority One, Positron, Pro/Mod, and Class Action featured here, along with (rather randomly) a KOST news intro.
Next one will be WDZN in Maryland, using the WDRC-FM Right Direction package.
February 6, 2017 at 6:08 am #101201tyty21Mike, there are a lot of good stations we can montage, WGUY, WBAN, and WWNZ in the Bangor area, (especially WGUY,) as they just broke their simulcast with WRMO, WPLZ, a ton of noobies over the last 2 years we haven’t got
February 6, 2017 at 10:45 am #101202LenGroatMJB
Thanks for the Oldies 98 aircheck – a GREAT use of classic JAM jingles and great oldies, fabulous sound continuity… !
February 6, 2017 at 5:50 pm #101204IainJohnston“Oldies 98” is a strange beast – not actually a “proper” primary “call-lettered” station as such – its actually
an HD-2 IBOC digital sideband (i.e. where no-one is really listening) to another station on 98.1, but is
therefore FCC permitted to re-broadcast the HD-2 audio on analogue FM on what the USA calls a “translator”,
i.e. an FM relay call-sign W251BY, which is a very back-to-front way of doing things – but it all seems to work
out fine and they get plenty of chatter about it on USA radio forums. And the jingles do exactly what they’re supposed to do for the format in question :^)
February 7, 2017 at 3:23 am #101206nleiboThe jingles–although produced by Jam– sound somewhat “TM”-ish
March 3, 2017 at 10:41 am #101285tyty21for some more jam, check out KEGK, 106.9 the eagle.
December 6, 2017 at 3:31 am #102392tyty21giving this thread a fresh coat of paint, more new jam to look at, and quite frankly, good montage material. WTBC and WFFN are starters, WVTY, and I just discovered, a certain UK’s station package officially makes it to stateside radio! some of the radio 1 – 1 fm cuts are being used in the Big Sky country, Bute, MT to be exact. along with rock connection. KOPR, Copper 94.
December 6, 2017 at 5:35 am #102393mjb1124MemberI was wondering if any of the Radio 1 stuff might resurface, considering JAM gave the packages the cut-by-cut treatment, and the Classic Hits format is moving in a direction where those packages might fit in well. Definitely interested in hearing KOPR now.

December 7, 2017 at 3:30 pm #102412mjb1124MemberHeard the Rock Connection TOH on KOPR, sounded great. I think this might be the first time I ever heard a one-syllable city sing (“Butte”), but it worked quite well. Heard a weather cut and an acapella too. These cuts might not be from new packages per se, but they still were a refreshingly different sound compared to anything else I hear nowadays (yes, that includes the more common/typical JAM packages). Plus, since these didn’t get much use in the US the first time around, they’ll sound new to average listeners.

don’t they always work?
May 15, 2018 at 10:02 am #96431tyty21more jam for the jingle madders. hopefully someone can help me out with audio. for starters, WAKY of course updates, with jingles to go along with their Diamond Jubilee, 60 years. some new ones include KMNT in Washington State, with a completely out of box choice for their package, using New and Now. WSMX, which is a mix of classic country/oldies/classic hits. WXDC is oldies as well, with som Kool 105 material, to go along with their studio, which is like a diner and antique store.
