Thanks for posting that David. I remember hearing that demo many moons ago and thinking what a great re-sing it was… almost sounds like a custom! Some great cuts there, and who would've thought Wogan would've been on any station other than Radio 2!

Whoever 'cherry picked ' (as we used to call it) from Jon's great packages to create this set of jingles chose brilliantly.
One of THE most under rated JAM packages is Omni Tracks which are the cuts at the start. Perfect crisp intros; a great synergy between the vocals and tracks, and MEMORABLE !

As you know Dan the Alfasound Radio ID cassette tapes had demos of packages that featured the Alfasound singers, singing over the JAM tracks but also faetured demo montages of pure JAM packages (like the Century Radio demo) – the JAM montage demos are a superb listen and a good insight into UK radio of the 1990s. If there are any other JAM demos you would like to hear – let me know and I`ll digitize them and share them here on Jingle Mad.

Just a very, very good package of cuts – and volume 13 was a particularly good tape with Trent 11 being on there (one of the BEST packages Trent/Sound ever had as far as I'm concerned – some great JAM cuts and some outstanding Alfasound jingles too like the news, weather and travel cuts!)
The Capitol Ireland demo was also a cracker on that tape!
BTW, it wasn't THE Terry Wogan was it?! I was always under the impression it was someone else with the same name…

Memberregarding the terry wogan cut,it was resung differently for at least one particular dj/presenter on century radio ireland.
“the best music…century radio…terry wogan”
was resung:
“declan meehan…century radio…the best music”a subtle difference in the order of the lyrics (“*dj name*”,”century radio” and “the best music”) seemed,to me,to make it a totally different sounding jingle.
'wow,i liked that',i thought when i heard declan's version. -
