I may be the last person to have noticed 🙄
(Thats coz I’ve only just got the demo!)
But aren’t those CBS-FM Cuts from JAM brilliant!!
I love the way they incorporate some of the PAMS “Sound” into a couple
of the cuts!!!

Sheer BrillianceAre you talking about the CBS-FM custom from ’04?
April 15, 2005 at 8:20 am #24687UKJinglesMemberAuthorYeah I assume they are from last year?
But they are not on the JAM Site (New Releases Section)April 15, 2005 at 10:37 am #24688DevawebMemberPete, I’ve not heard a demo but would love to. Could you upload it to the Jinglemad download section?

That would be good if you could do an upload Pete!
April 15, 2005 at 2:34 pm #24690jlehmannDoes anyone know if CBS-FM is still actually using any of the cuts? Last I knew, they were using the jock cut, and that was it. The rest is old WABC stuff.

I think they are still using some of their ‘Do It Again’ JAM cuts together with some cuts from TGP….
April 15, 2005 at 3:53 pm #24692jlehmannThey only seem to use the Do It Again cuts during their Hall of Fame show on Sunday nights. I think the only Tony Griffin cut they use these days is the weather bed.

Yeah–which they desperately need to get rid of–it sounds HORRIBLE.
BTW: They are only using the TOH, jock cut, and one other from the ’04 JAM Custom. Some Positron as well, and some shotguns. I do not know what package the shotguns are from, though, but CBS-FM should let JAM just create a new package for them. The jingles now are repeated too often and sound a bit out of place, in my opinion.
April 15, 2005 at 7:32 pm #24694UKJinglesMemberAuthorOk….Just posted the Demo for CBS-FM into the Jingle Demos-mp3 section….
So should be available as soon as the ‘powers That Be’ Verify it!Pete.

April 15, 2005 at 8:30 pm #24695ronfilMemberThese are CPMG/PAMS Resings from 1989. WOGL, in Philadelphia had a few sung for them as well.
April 15, 2005 at 10:03 pm #24696DevawebMemberOn a slightly different tack, weren’t there some custom WABC cuts last year? Did they ever get as far as a demo?

No..They Are JAM…Sang Last Year!! 🙄
April 16, 2005 at 12:59 am #24698wwmgcbsfanThanks! I just downloaded it and I’ve gotta say—some of the greatest jingles ever. Unfortunately, they’re not being used on-air anymore. Oh well–that’s life for ya.
April 16, 2005 at 1:46 am #24699ronfilMemberPete, You’re right. Someone else posted CBS – FM Pams Resings today as well, Those are the cuts I was talking about.(1989 CPMG) Yours’ are from Jam, and they’re great!!
April 16, 2005 at 3:36 am #24700jkubiakThose are some great jingles. Too bad Jam hasnt released more work. Everyday I hear less and less Jam jingles. Now, don’t take this wrong, the cuts are great, but I am wondering how legit the demo is. Now this is just a question, not a slam or an accuisation. I just noticed, there was no introduction, numbers between cuts, etc. I also noticed at the end of the demo a long pause then Jam’s telephone number. Just wondering if I am crazy or if someone else noticed that as well. Again, its a comment and not ment to accuse.

I stand corrected. It is authentic. Sorry about that.

It is nice to hear Charlie Van Dyke as the voice on the WOGL cuts

Great cuts for CBS-FM especially Cut # 2, but the WQSR re-sings of this package sound slightly better
Does anybody know if any other US station other than QSR has had this package re-sung?

I would imagine that this would be because Jon Wolfert dubbed the jingles off quickly for a potential client who enquired about new Oldies jingles they’d produced. I doubt it was ever intended for the wider audience to ever hear. It’s great though isn’t it!
April 16, 2005 at 10:05 am #24705UKJinglesMemberAuthorI received the CeeDee entitled “New JAM Demos” from one of my long-term Traders in Ireland……
Unfortunately all the other demos on it are ones already featured on the JAM Site….But I still think this one is the best of them all!April 16, 2005 at 6:00 pm #24706BigdaveIt’s JAM back on familiar ground , but what a great package!
I don’t what it is about them , but there’s something about the Oldies package where JAM hit the spot 99% of the time . The other 1% (the naff stuff) you can count on the fingers of one hand.Isn’t it about time we had a national gold station on FM that would play this stuff ?
April 17, 2005 at 5:21 pm #24712martinlesterMemberThanks to Pete for posting the Demo they are great Jingles, but the sad fact is having just come back from New York they are only use 2 Cuts from the whole package ! 🙄
1 The Top Of Hour Cut
2 “101.1 (The Greatest Hits) CBS FM
Break after add break the best you get to hear is a 3 Second Shotgun
along with the weather cut followed by an edit of jingle 2
starting with the shout “the Greatest Hits”It makes you wonder why a station go to all the time and expense of getting great new jingles and then leaving them on the shelf, I also wonder why JAM do not promote them on there web site I am sure they would get a some sales from the US Oldies Stations

Like the ones Ben and Mark have posted before (JAM / CENTURY 21)
The station buys them..uses them for a short while and gets taken over by the Big Boys who don’t Like Jingles!!
I just drove back from High Wycombe and had a listen to MIX 107….Ok
the Jingles weren’t brilliant that they used to use….But not they have been bought out by The Big Boys…..Its Sweepers only and the news Jingle.. well I think most of us on here could have done better!!!
I soon switched back to Classic Gold (I notice Paul Burnett still uses his old JAM – Radio One Jingles on there!)April 17, 2005 at 7:23 pm #24714JingleMadMembermartinlester wrote:
